Well the happy couple have checked into the Amari Don Muang with the wee one. Couldn't help but mention about getting hitched and got instantly upgraded to the Grand Deluxe Pool View on the top floor. Was going to grab a drink in Henry J Beans but opens 1700, I will be in there shortly after.

Meant to be getting married at 7.30 am tomorrow but just been advised by agent we are getting married in 30 mins. Just on way to Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pick up agent then off to get hitched. I am appropriately dressed in Molecule shorts and Beverley Hills polo shirt, no time to change but only a few documents to sign.

Well after chatting with a nice Norwegian guy about the newbie rules on bar-fining I decided to have a last drink in a go go. Sadly I found myself in Rambo 3 in Nana (sure that was the name), namely because after sitting there enjoying myself for 10 minutes my space and enjoyment were hijacked by two British arseoles. You know the type, guys who make the dancers back up and the waitresses group together. The guy literally sat on me when there must have been 20 other seats he could have sat on. My smile changed to a cautious stare at the stage and the girls around me. This guy kept stomping around the stage sticking his tongue out at any pussy nearby. Girls trying to laugh but felt awkward. Guy coming back to his seat and turning sharply to stare at me. Just got to me, I checked bin but not before asking the guy why he was staring at me and not the girls on stage. His reaction 'I don't give a fcuk'. As much as I thought I could handle myself the better option was to walk away and get out of the place before the inevitable bullshit ended in confrontation. Why oh why are there arseoles like that around that create these scenarios. Nothing good comes of it. Back home now where peace and tranquillity prevail.

Almost as important, the staff were not that friendly I am in Nana beer garden and the Asahi is actually 160 net. Friendly staff although no real lookers. I am shocked there isn't a Help The Aged office in Nana.

Yes bit naughty really. 265 is a bit steep for a poor beer let alone the taxes on top.

Got my bill for my 265 baht Kilkenny, it was 311 baht with taxes. I am happily in Nana watching footie drinking a pint of Asahi at 160 baht (hopefully)

Were doing more business on terrace outside. I should have gone to a pub that had a proper Sunday roast.

I saw that, noticed a few beggars around to make up the numbers but I would still end up paying. I was the only one eating although the wee one was nicking my chips

Huntsman pub does a Sunday roast buffet at 950 baht which is a bit steep for me especially because I can fill myself up with Guinness pie and chips for 350 baht. Just economics to me in terms of my ability in how much I can eat and value for money. Nice place though, not busy which I was surprised about.

Having food and drink in the beer garden in front of the Novotel Ploen Chit. Nice Filappina group knocking out a few songs. After a 13 hour flight via Dubai on Emirates amazingly I am having my first alcoholic drink since leaving London.

Just booked my mini cab to the airport, starting to feel like I am actually going away......

I think I have 2 days spare next week maybe on Tuesday and Wednesday. As long as I have no issue with the Embassy I should be down solo or with the wee one. I will message you if in town.

7 hours.....I am also trying to get into the spirit but I am kind of traumatised after 5 months of work without much of a break, think the excitement of it all will kick in later especially as I will be seeing my 2 favourite girls in Bangkok.

The small print says I don't get any extra mileage for the upgrade, in fact the only thing you get is the upgrade; no lounge, no limousine, no extra mileage.......not even sure I would have paid if they had offered me the Heathrow through Dubai to Bangkok legs.

Any Soave or Frascati from any where including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury or any other supermarket. The only decent stuff I have is when I fly business, usually a red, but it still tastes mostly the same to me.

Just got an email from Emirates inviting me to pay for an upgrade on the Dubai Bangkok leg of my journey on Friday for the princely sum of £351. The rest of the trip including the Heathrow Dubai leg would still be in economy and I can't use the lounge in Dubai. Very quick thought about it, I will give it a miss, really don't think that is a good deal at all. I expect to get great service in economy and having not had a break from work in almost 5 months I will probably nod off on a postage stamp anyway so bring cattle class on. A few beers, a few wines and I will be ready to sleep. I can think of so many things I could do with that £351 that would offer me and my family much better value.

Just had marinated anchovies and salmon flakes n a pesto sauce on farfalle pasta, absolutely disgusting, went in the bin. The marinade was way too sweet....
