I currently don't here in London, can walk to my main office, and public transport is good. Just another added expense I don't need at present. Though as the child grows, I probably will get something small for the 3 of us to go out and about at weekends. Also think it would be good for the wife to drive wherever when i'm at work.

Or Thailand in general? When I first started coming Pattaya was very much a 'Man's Town', where it would be rare to see families or groups of females apart from Thais. It was kinda the wild west, where most there knew what they were there for, Thai or farang. Beach Road was rammed with freelancers, there was no big shopping malls bar Royal Garden, Mikes, the Bid C's etc. Infrastructure was not as it was today, in general a lot more seedy. Now the place is coming down with families, groups of middle aged females waddling across 2nd Road, big flashy malls, loads and loads of Chinese, Indians, Russinas etc, loads more choice in food outlets, places to go or see. Yes the 'girls' are still there, but no way as in your face, it's different, sanitised to an extent if you like. On trips to Thailand, I spend a few days in Pattaya, I have a small condo there, but the changes now suit me as I visit with my wife and young daughter (who's 2). Things like all the very nice kids play places in Central, places like Central full stop, all the new choices we have, and of course the 'girls' aspect changing doesn't impact me now. That said, if I was of the same mindset as when i first came to Pattaya 12/15 years ago, not married, I would not be happy with the changes. I'd have preferred it the way it was, more like the wild west, a man's town, wanting the 'sex and girls' more in your face etc.

Personally don't like them, on me, nevermind females. Have got one lazered off from my lower arm, cost loads more than getting it on, and a lot more painful. If I could be bothered, I'd get all mine off, though the rest are pretty much covered even if wearing a short sleeve.

Owner was dodgy. I used to sit at Pitini's across the road and watch the owner kick lumps outta anyone passing wearing an England top. And we won't even mention the other mad Scot who had it a few owners later ...

Everyone's different, with different experiences, not sure I know of anyone in the scenario you posted. Can't say I ever have to be honest. But yea, people can and do get humiliated by someone from the opposite sex all over the world. Anyway, I don't drink alcohol anymore, so don't really miss any bar, just to keep on topic.

This quote - 'Small wonder Thai bar girls prefer Japanese. They are slim, no bad smell, little drink, no all night riding, and they are done. Nothing like farang who barfined a bar girl, drunk, can do no fcuk, shows from his wallet pictures of his family, Cries at that'. Must admit I found it funny as well. That's all he was saying, saying you made a funny post, a complement if you like. That's how I read it anyway. Then things got a bit mixed up.
