I had previously never taken much notice of motor cycles in Pattaya. I do not have a motor cycle driving licence and even if I had I have no desire to drive on the roads in Thailand. Since I started looking at motor cycles to post on this thread, I do notice that the better and high-powered vehicles being hired out represents a significant share of the hire market. All these are hire vehicles.

Conviction - surely must be made after consideration of the admissible evidence by a judge and/or properly directed jury. Sentence - surely can not be determined until all admissible evidence has been considered and judge/jury convict, along with reports as requested by the court being taken into account. Attempted Murder - surely an essential element of this offence is a specific intent to cause the death of the victim. Even recklessness will not suffice. I do not see any mention of any evidence of this specific intent in the newspaper articles, accepting of course that the news reports may not contain all the available evidence.
