  1. I have'nt given up YET, but i'm havin trouble understanding the process, i'll give it another go, when is my last chance to do ?
  2. I go once a month for a manicure/pedicure and they also take off all the rough hard skin on me feet, but where i go ain't much use to ya unless you're in Korat. I have to say the amount they take off is incredible but your feet feel so much nicer. Good luck in your search.
  3. That should be enough for anybody mate, WELL DONE and the reason why i did'nt read your thread was cos i did'nt want to give up, i got me head in the sand.
  4. I think you're right cos they played All Right Now, what a song, one of the all time greats !!!
  5. Yeah smoking was pretty much acceptable before the laws were brought in, much nicer now in a pub without.
  6. Now i thought it was the late 60's as i was an apprentice at the time and i'd finished my training by 1970 but i could be wrong, as you say its a long time ago lol, i wonder if they did two tours in quick succession, but i'd have been on to it, havin said that i did'nt do B'Mouth much other than Simple Minds and Lighthouse family, it was always Pompey and Soton Guildhalls. I got Tons of Sobs and Fire and Water vinyl albums, F...... loved em.

    F1

I'd love to see them both with Mercedes with no team orders.
  8. No it does'nt as long as you're only doing them infrequently, life is also about ENJOYING oneself, thats my take on it.
  9. Very very true, i've lost two life long mates in the last year, both never smoked or took drugs when younger, only ever drank socially and were fit guys as ex footballers who exercised regularly. They're gone at age 62 and 66 and me aged 69 who has abused myself with all sorts of substances is still going, life is not fair ehh, i think i'm just lucky but that luck is going to run out eventually.
  10. Its nice to know us Brits/Aussies are'nt the only ones suffering.....
  11. My doc in the UK told me getting off Heroin was easier than nicotine !!! Trouble was GB smoking in the early 60's when i started was considered the thing to do, ya know fashionable and most were doing it with no constant reminders of the damage to your health and then we were hooked, nowadays there's no excuse for starting as all the info is out there.
  12. I get exactly the same mate lmao, i call it bok boking to wifey.....
  13. LOL, i watched a foodie prog the other night and they were preparing Camel would you believe, even the hump !!! I've eaten Croc in Thailand and Ostrich in Spain, bloody nice too.
  14. Great motivation to give up mate, well done, now if wifey was to say to me if i don't pack it in she'd be off i'd pack it in yesterday, but she knows how much i enjoy it and likes to see me happy. I like to think i'm a respectful smoker and do my best to keep it away from her, she's a committed non smoker now after giving it a try for a few months circa 8 years ago, now she just hates it.
  15. I'm gonna try and get one of these drug treatments when i decide to give it another go, i've tried patches and vaping before without success. But i need to get me head right first.....lol
  16. I've heard that so many times Mike from ex smokers, the craving might diminish but never goes away. I've had mates who would love to stand next to me just to get a whiff of smoke lol. One day in the not too distant future i'm gonna give it a crack to stop for good, i just need to get in the right frame of mind.
  17. Well done, now just keep it up, i take me hat off to ya.
  18. Me too in Portsmouth Guildhall, we must have seen the same tour, are you sure it was 1970 ?
  19. and what do you think i told both my boys, i even gave them a financial incentive of 2000gbp on their 18th birthdays if they did'nt smoke. What did they do, took the 2K and then eventually started smoking (peer pressure i believe) but i'm glad to say they are no longer smoking. What i never ever did was smoke in the house......
  20. F...... brill, Paul Rogers is the man, the best whitey rocker vocalist by a straight mile imo
  21. Well done and thanks, that looks interesting, i'll make some enquiries as to its availability here in Thailand.
  22. Despite being fully aware of the damage i'm doing and have done i can't help meself. I've been smoking continuously since the age of 10yo (only what i could pinch) and i'm now nearly 69yo and should know better. I've always smoked at least a pack a day and when younger i was smoking everything i could put a match to lol, i'm now on circa 25 daily as i'm retired with FA to do other than the things i enjoy and i'm a firm believer in doing ALL the things you enjoy before the grim reaper calls. I would hate to die not having enjoyed the latter part of my life when all the pressures of life have gone and smoking is one of the things that i REALLY ENJOY bit like wifey really, i really enjoy her too lol. If i was still living in the UK perhaps the cost would be a motivating factor but here in Thailand i'm paying 60bht for a pack of Camel so no problem there then. I've even had hypnotism in an attempt to pack in but sure enough i was back smoking the following morning after the session (50gbp wasted) I think i know what the problem is, i don't really want to and until i do i'll never crack it. Has anyone cracked it and what did you do to ensure success ?
  23. Good to hear BB, i've never had a bad time in Patts but i always go there with the attitude to enjoy myself come what may, its still a fantastic party town.
