I used to maintain a very nice garden and lawn in the UK but i just find it too damn hot here in Thailand, i leave it to wifey and she's doing a great job taking care on a daily basis, i do get a team in once a month to do the donkey work.

Point taken but you can get the 0 visa prior to arriving in Thailand (i did 12 years ago) and then convert to a retirement extension after arrival. The real point of my post was to ask how could you provide evidence of 65K transfers when you have'nt been living here as would have been the case for me and no doubt anyone now wishing to do the income route on first arrival.

As an aside to this thread what happens to a NEW retirement extension application for a farang who has just arrived in Thailand, how does he show 12 months bank transfers of 65K when he has'nt been living here ?

But surely TW are crediting your Thai bank account with the dosh every month, all that is needed is a Thai bank statement/letter showing 12 monthly credit transfers for the minimum amount 40/65K and thats exactly what my IO here in Korat have told me to supply for next years extension, they also state that the transfer dates should be the same each month give or take a few days.

It would certainly appear that way, how it could recover i really don't know, after the disasterous so called upgrade its been dying a painful death for a while now imo and all the uncertainty surrounding its future has not helped retain posters.

Can anyone share their experiences ? I recently got my retirement extension but used a UK embassy letter and was informed by the very pleasant lady IO that next year i would have to supply them with Thai bank statements showing monthly transfers into the account of a minimum 65K but wait for it........... These monthly transfers have to be on the same day each month but they will allow a few days difference to account for weekends, that is exactly what she told me in English and wifey in Thai. So they are actually dictating to us when we have to transfer the dosh despite what our needs might be, i suppose its just too damn easy to count 12 incoming transfers (65K min) in a 12 month period from your bank statements. I trust i'm not duplicating this issue as i can't find it in this section where it belongs.

Give it a rest guys, i'm told when getting involved with SS this is not Secrets and to refrain from dragging up past issues from over there which really don't help take this board forward. Its time to forget as difficult as that maybe......

Too true Alfa, we were staying at WSB and wanted a BB back there from the little bar complex further up the main road, 200bht and this was 10 years ago for a circa 3/4 mile ride, we walked lol
