  1. Don't know it but looks very classy. Can't beat the location I enjoyed a much lower rent lunch in KFC just over the road in Market Village yesterday. 108 baht for a Zinger, fries and a soda. Wouldn't touch it in the UK but was excellent. Just saying in case you get bored of that colonial 4 star luxury😉
  2. I do use Bolt here, seems to work well but yet to use itin super peak hours at the weekend. Fares are very reasonable in my view but maybe not as super cheap at Pattaya. Was chatting to one Patts visitor who seems to attract rain wherever he goes, and the fares seem surreal they were so low in Patts. Will post the odd update is anything interesting comes along, good or bad. Life is pretty laid back here, not too much excitment, I kind of like that😛
  3. Do you have any favourites amongst the American bars/eateries in Bangkok?
  4. Nothing like that in Hua Hin old chap. You'll have to persuade the wife again you need yet another solo trip to Pattaya again to go to Tony's Candy Shop. Must have more Rangers Tops than Imelda Marcos had shoes!!!
  5. I'm in LaCasita, lovely spot. I don't drive and won't take motorbike taxis, but being here there's plenty of decent places a short stroll away.
  6. Just settling into life in my first Thai condo rental😁 Strangley satisfiying to unpack completely and not be living out a suitcase, as I have been for the past month.
  7. How much was the big glass of pale ale?
  8. Having a second sachet of electrolyte drink. Too many beers last night and even a short time out in today's Bangkok heat has done for me😛
  9. Exactly the same with Chang for me. Two in a night and wake up with a rotten headache.
  10. Burmese beer Holiday Inn, Sukhumvit 22. Prices are more Holiday Inn than Burma, ++ pricing and 330ml serving. Grossing up to get a UK pint, I've got the cheapest at around £10, the strongest at around £15!!! So 450 baht for the one below, pretty average it was too. Go fund me page to follow.....
  11. Yep, hopefully the relief of shifting it will perk him up. Excellent time to visit in March
  12. I thought he looked tired and he hadn't shaved , but then if I was being filmed just now, not sure I'd look that different😀. He did also seemed subdued. Maybe if it was Baloon Chaser filming it, he tells Phil to have a shave and cheer up a bit, at it comes out different? Anyway I'm off to have a shave now and brighten up my appearance, in case this Richard character starts eyeing up my assets!!!
  13. Thanks just watched it. Noticed he referred to the purchaser several times by his first name Richard. Existing bar owner?
  14. Chicken curry puff 90 baht as an appetiser. Delicious, mango seafood curry 280 baht main🤤
  15. It's p**sing down!! I'd be grateful if you could PM me some FF tips whilst you are sprinkling gold dust.
  16. Gents Any ideas, I can't seem to find a weather forecast on the Bangkok post site anymore. The Thai met office site when I've tried it is very flaky What website do you use to keep track on the weather here and what would say is the most accurate? Cheers!
  17. Interesting Man U line up tonight. Evans and Maguire at centre back, and Lindelof.at left As a Spurs fan not suprised to see Regullion on the bench, found him a bizarre loan signing for Man U Had they not watched him play? Poor defender
  18. 'Small" chicken roast dinner, 199 Baht le Pub Hua Hin.
  19. Written in 2020, didn't know it existed till picking it up in a second hand bookstore. As funny as anything he's written. Only seems to get poor reviews from Trump fans.
  20. 70kg is no issue at your height, your too skinny for this board😉
  21. All sounds very sensible if you are pushed for time I find the online Yoga videos like a Adrienne really good. 10 to 15 minutes long, warm up before hand and guaranteed you'll get a good work out, strength, balance and flexibility. I can easily run 5k outdoors but a yoga video challenges me more as my flexibility needs work.
  22. Beautiful sunny morning in Hua Hin. Will take a little umbrella out as been raining every day at some point.
  23. Sounds like you are doing fantasticly well🤞 Several of you on here putting me to shame, not been to a gym for a month now. My excuse of moving to Thailand is wearing a bit thin now!! This may not apply to you, but find when I restart exercise after a long lay off(more than a month), I will put on weight a first. Muscle weighs more than fat, my weight will go up for a few weeks, plateau and then begin falling. Muscle burning more calories begin to kick. Apologies if you are well aware of it. But thought it worth a mention so you are not discourage by your weight changing as you exercise.
