  4. It was a pleasure meeting up with you tonight and looking forward to coffee this Thursday.
  5. This could have so easily gone wrong. He is a very lucky man
  6. So I was tearing the house apart because I couldn't find a friggen paint brush. So i went out to the van ... well looky what I found
  7. I must of screwed up as the pics didn't turn out as normal size. I pulled them from an old folder Here's some of the GFs
  8. My brother and I have 40 acres a half mile south of Purgatory Ski Area. We bought it back in 1975. Over the years we build a decent little cabin. 5 years later i bought an old house built in 1890 in Durango. I was having a bit of trouble living on the mountain and being at work in town by 8am. Spring, summer and fall it was an aabsolutely beautiful 25 mile commute but come winter it could be a real bitch. The cabin is 8tenths of a mile back in off the hhighway. For years we were the only ones back there. And it could easily take 3 to 4 hours of shoveling to just get to the highway. Some days we couldn't get out at all. So i ended up buying an old clunker in town for $38,000. 45 years later it's has made my financial statement look rather nice. Then there's me GF. We been together for 11 years. Now she has a real nice house 12 miles north of Durango on the way to Purg. Her house is the one I have posted a lot of exterior view pics of. Now its a really nice house and a great location up on the side of a hill. So the views are pretty sweet. View from the deck of the cabin. If you zoom in you can see to tops of the condos at Purgatory. Pretty much middle of photo and a bit above the north the last pic is looking to the southwest down towards Durango
  9. No salt. We don't use it here in Colorado except on major highways. I hand shoveling everything and love doing it. It keeps me healthy. It's funny... I absolutely hate raking the fall leaves but come winter snows and I can be out there for hours on end. The GF keeps telling me to come in and I keep saying--- "20 more minutes"
  10. And I Love the all 4 seasons. Each has its distinct beauty. Our fall colors are nothing like the beauty of back east... but they are beautiful
  11. I do enjoy the snow although I'm not an avid skier and I actually like driving in it. But at 75 I must admit I get pretty fed up with the shoveling. I've been in Durango since 1975 and have never regretted it. I'm known for manicureing the snow in my parking spot
  12. Getting ready to head out for a bit of breakfast. It'll be atleast 4 hour before the big lug crawls out of his cave.
  13. Seems another of my favorite bars is but a shadow of its former glory. Papaguyos is mostly empty. There are a few girls sitting around playing with their phones but no music or dancers on stage. I had a lot of fun in that bar over the years. it's sad to see.
  14. The first place I stayed in Pattaya back in 2005. It was certainly a different town back then and we were so young and impressionable. We didn't have a clue wtf was going on. We discovered Angle Witch and spent every night in there and thought we had died and gone to heaven. Made every mistake that the oldtimers later told us about. I was going to go home, sell everything I had and then move back here. Only problem was I didn't own anything of value.
  15. We were able to view the eclips last October from down in Farmington New Mexico. I took these pics through a pair of "eclips glasses" with a Samsung s23 cell phone ( I mistakenly said s22 in an above post). I was pleased with the outcome.
