I love hummus, usually get Sainsbury's Be Good To Yourself hummus with roasted red peppers.Aldi do some nice biscuits for dipping, sweet chili thins they're called.Usually my lunch for 3 or 4 days a week along with Sainsbury's cool salsa.
  2. I'd think Gray will start but he's a totally different player to Deeney....I don't care so long as we win!😎
  3. Award winning Gibsons of Watford sausages, they are the best bangers I've ever had
  4. I worked there for 8 1/2 years & it's a lovely country but I'd do it in the winter if I was you.
  5. Well Pep seemed to be proud that Man City voted in favour of VAR after their first goal at home to us was allowed despite being at least 2 yards offside so he shouldn't be complaining.
  6. Watford have kept their prices reasonable, the best seats(outside of a box) are £42,but cos I'm a KOS(knackered old shit)I get it for £28.Not bad for Premier League football. Cup games are cheaper, for the FA Cup QF vs Palace the ticket cost me £14. Fucking Wembley is a rip off,the SF vs Wolves cost me £75,after discount for being old.The final will cost me £145 if I can be arsed to go. But I guess the FA have got to pay for the great white elephant that is Wembley.
  7. Don't know if any of you watched Watford vs Arsenal last night. One crazy minute saw us a stupid goal down & a man down.Dunno what either Foster or Deeney were thinking but both were pretty stupid. The annoying thing was our 10 men outplayed the Arse for most of the match & with 11 we'd have stuffed them.Lost 1-0. Rant over!
  8. An English classic, lambs liver, bacon, onions, garlic mash(OK maybe not English),green vegetables washed down with a classic from over the channel. The best bit is the gravy....it is the dogs dangly bits!
  9. Me & the missus were at the Hippodrome for this, great concert!
  10. I scratched a 50 year old itch last night when I saw Savoy Brown at Under the Bridge(Chelsea FC's Stamford Bridge).I first got into their music at school in the late sixties but last night was the first time I've seen them live. Happy to report that they were superb,as was the support band of Stan Webb's Chickenshack.
  11. It was a great no hassle place to have a beer.I used to play darts for them whenever I was in town but I gather Stan is not very well now. Colin was a great host....even if he did give me shit lol.
  12. Must admit I want Man City to go to the CL final & I want it to go to extra time & pens. I want them as knackered & injured as possible for the FA Cup final.
  13. How is Colin? Last time I saw him we were in a quiz a couple of years ago in a bar near there. One of my favourite hangouts since it opened in 1988.If you see him pls give him regards & best wishes from Coxy & Nid.
  14. My dinner after playing snooker last night was a prawn omelette. Not sure I should've guzzled all that wine on top of a lot of London Pride but I don't feel too bad this morning. Thai Spice is that you on the bottle??
  15. What a great game.Ludicrous to announce with 2 minutes of normal still to go the man of the match(Wolves # 9).Two great goals from our # 7.
  16. I'm off to Wembley this afternoon.Absolutely nothing in it between Watford & Wolves in the EPL & both teams playing good attacking football so should be a belter. All the indications are for a tight tie, with little to separate the Premier League's two next-best teams outside the 'big six'. One point - the difference between them, in Wolves' favour. One goal - again pointing to Wolves, with a goal difference of +1 to Watford's zero. One minute - made the difference at Molineux in October, with Watford's goals in a 2-0 win scored just 58 seconds apart. One yellow card - Watford have totalled 62 league bookings to Wolves' 61, with even the number of fouls committed across the whole season incredibly close (358 Watford, 353 Wolves). One goal to split them then? Or maybe one missed penalty in a shoot-out?!* *Watford have lost their last three, and Wolves their last four. Vive la difference!
  17. With Rod Stewart they were The Faces, different group. Roy Orbison I'd have loved to see.
  18. My last gig was the Small Fakers doing Ogdens Nut Gone Flake at the 100 Club in Oxford Street a few months ago. They're a superb Small Faces tribute band. Going to see Savoy Brown in Putney & Tedeschi Trucks Band at the London Palladium later this month. My first gig was Pink Floyd & the Edgar Broughton Band in a free concert in Hyde Park in 1970. There's been a lot in between.
  19. Prawns, salmon, sea bream & ribs, all cooked by my lovely missus.Washed down with some Italian white which I'd never tried before, was OK.
  20. With officials such as the ones at Cardiff yesterday you should defo finish above the Welshmen. Colin Wanker was close to apoplexy & rightly so.There is a definite bias amongst officials in favour of the bigger clubs.Hopefully VAR will help but instead of the gimp on the field making the decision it'll be the gimp in front of the tv set.
  21. Marks & Spencer Gastropub Chicken & Leek pie with pease pudding,peas,gravy & Beaujolais....lovely.
  22. I'll look out for that,I've read Bill Wyman's,albeit a long time ago,Keith Richard's,Roger Daltrey's & Tony Iommi's.All were really good.
