  1. Still pretty poor in Pattaya for me.
  2. Or the sugarcane field from a week or so ago in Thailand. 😧 https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/asia_pacific/body-of-missing-toddler-found-in-thai-sugarcane-plantation/2018/12/26/7ed9466c-08ed-11e9-8942-0ef442e59094_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.6075037a8ae7
  3. Not a parent at all, but I was a child once who was put in reins like these. With my mum having three of us, and maybe also a friend, a cousin or two often in tow, it appears to me the reins would be a good option. Maybe not perfect for the reasons you give, but better than the alternative where one child escapes.
  4. Sorry, that appears contradictory to me. The reins allow you to put the kid on a "dog lead" while also keeping them safe getting them exercise and growing their confidence. If they've been put on the lead to allow the parent to play games on their phone then that's a different matter, but we don't know that here and no matter what, it wouldn't be true in every case.
  5. Keeping your kid safe and getting him/her exercise and grow in confidence is no bad thing surely. I realise there are two views and this article looks at both sides quite well IMO. A line that caught my eye was "They can give some reassurance, whilst still allowing the child to develop independence but they should not be used as a dragging or a lifting tool." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/mother-tongue/9966491/Parenting-dilemma-Should-British-parents-put-their-children-on-leads.html
  6. At least his cutlery was sitting on a napkin, not a torn bit of bog roll like some. 😮
  7. I'm not sure where I heard it, but I have in my head that it was owned by Toyota for some strange reason?
  8. Some old ones there I think. The McDonalds next to the Butchers was open on my last visit.
  9. Good result, and further out than the 6 hours I mentioned which surprises me.
  10. Yes, as per the photo posted. The price has remained the same as was previously shown for the main course only, with the starter and sweet being optional extras priced seperately.
  11. Maybe not. I've just passed by on my way to Jollys and there's another new sign just to the left of the door. I never got the chance to read it all, but it referred to Xmas and may have been changing the offerings to more of a regular Sunday roast. It needs another scouting mission but it's beer o'clock time for me.
  12. My MO is to get to the airport early, before check in opens (although Emirates has a few flights within a couple of hours so may be difficult). Once there, go to the ticket desk and they will allocate an exit row seat on request (if available). Less than 6 hours prior to take off there is no charge. I got three exit rows seats to myself on a quiet flight last week with them.
  13. Another no turkey option, at the Chunky Monkey this time. And another no frills and no turkey meal from the Seaside in Soi Choyapoom.
  14. If it's not got loads of milk and plenty of sugar it's not a real cup of tea. If it's got a fruity flavour or a scent about it it's not a real cup of tea. If it's green it's not a real cup of tea. All IMO, but I won't call people made up names for liking them. Beurk isn't a real word you know.
  15. Cheers. 4 weeks at least, so yes we'll overlap and hopefully get a drink.
  16. 1 day. Doors should be closed and pushback about to start this time tomorrow.
  17. The original, original lineup's first gig was at my secondary school year end dance, and unfortunately many years before that.
  18. A spot of luck for you. Was yours choc a bloc with people transferred from the earlier one?
  19. Were you due out on this morning's flight? I heard the incoming one had to return to Dubai and was seriously delayed.
  20. It's a common currency to all of us on here so best for making comparisons IMO.
  21. Used to like the Pattaya webcams but not been able to find them recently.
  22. Air vents getting blocked and it's heating up. Flat surface leaves a space for air to circulate.
