One of my all time favourites. If you like to experiment, try cutting up a banana into 1/2" slices and add it to the penang for the last few minutes of cooking, it will not take long before the banana pieces begin to 'melt', and to me gives the curry a new level of flavour.

No worries Dangle, but i do believe there were just 2 or 3 bars there before the exodus from across the road. So maybe they are referring to those ??

The question should be " when can the bars be reborn", many people say maybe the 1st December, here's hoping..... The bars in MIT were in single numbers before the migration from across the road around Soi 9, my memory is not so good but i would imagine it was around 16 (ish) years ago ?? But they were never the same in my opinion. MIT became like the old Soi 2 complex with too many bars crammed into the space available, each with their own 'music' doing battle with with the surrounding bars. As you said earlier, the bars facing onto 2nd road were by far the best of a bad bunch.

I believe many of the bars migrated from across the road, at the top of Soi 9 and were bulldozed to make way for the Central Festival complex and new shop houses on the north side of Soi 9. I used to spend many a pleasant evening in the bars there, but it was never the same after they relocated to MIT.....

I do believe it is in front of the Cop Shop on Beach road / Soi 9.

That will please many people, assuming it will be under the same management as before.....

And only 10% of the potatoes and veg', and completely forgot to show the bowl of beans and the gravy boat too.....

I'm likely not too far behind you Dangle, also real ale and pie induced, though i've never bothered with the massage. I was hoping that after coming to live here many moons ago the lack of real ale would help reduce them, but i fear that my aging years are now playing a part. Such is life, it's still good and very enjoyable..................

I would not argue with that Laz, i have experienced some which were very realistic, and some which were bloody awful. But generally big boobs are a turn off to me, i prefer small / medium in relation to body size. The girl cutting the chap's hair in the video in the original post to me has a lovely face, but her boobs really really turn me off, makes no odds if natural or bolt-ons, to me they are unattractive. We are all different mate, prefer different things, and are happy in our own way.....

Good to know i'm not alone, as i'm right there with you Baz, in fact i find them quite a turn off......

Looking at those pic's, i was rubbing my eyes, thinking my eyesight was going !!!

Can you tell me mate if the Red Rose Hotel is still open in Chiang Rai ?? Quite an interesting place to stay....I have made use of one of the jungle rooms, the one with the waterfall and the bed like a treehouse above, also the Venice room where the bed is on a gondola which actually floats on water, many more to explore one day i hope.....
