  1. Apologies game in this context is a British expression meaning that it will take on or face off to anything regardless of size. Brave bordering on stupid.
  2. Ditto. Heating on in mid April when normally windows open and shopping in shorts.
  3. Those I know were not high strung but a good hard working biddable-ish terrier and I agree with Maipenrai that it needs to be given the chance to work. All it needs is a hole in the ground preferably with something to displace. I have no idea if they have what I term "show" breeds which are lookalikes without the work in them. After my last trip to south east Asia I will get one of these game as f**k dogs.
  4. My gamekeeper friend had to put covers over the fox masks he had hanging on the wall as his Patterdale was tearing out the plaster with his claws running up the wall trying to reach them. He just wouldn't stop.
  5. Keep this lot away from fire and high heat. Am I the only one who finds these women unattractive?

    Sad

Sad in one way but good that you are passing it on to someone who has a use and will, hopefully, use and appreciate them.
  7. Many a pick truck loaded down with clothes, water and food went from Phuket to the Kao Lak area donated by Thai's and foreigners alike. There was no discrimination on who received help. Many a foreigner almost emptied their wardrobes to donate. Others emptied their wallets or purses when a whip round was made in the small beer bar area in Karon. 300,000 baht in under an hour. This was given to "Freddie Mercury" who turned it into the above supplies and shipped it north. I just wish that he hadn't showed us all the photos he took though. Many foreigners volunteered their time and expertise to build temporary accommodation in Khao Lak. Many, many acts of kindness and compassion were seen. 3 months later all back to normal unfortunately.
  8. Is the swimming pool bar on the dark side still going? You throw coins in the pool and they strip naked to go get it.
  9. Never heard of Wasitai before, It's going to come in handy I think. Thanks for posting.
  10. I have made short trips to Myanmar but haven't stayed there for any length of time. The Karon name I use is because I had the Bonsai beer bar followed by Our House a bar, restaurant & guest house in Karon beach Phuket. As far as I know I am not on a watch list but who knows. I do not have a criminal record and have only ever been stopped by Customs twice in my many years of travel. At the time I did wonder why the IO was a little abrupt this trip so there may well be something in what has been said. I will ask next time.
  11. 2 nights ago I flew Etihad BKK-AUH-LHR and breezed through both Swampy and T4 in less than 20 minutes each. A slight delay taking off at Swampy meant that I had to skip the lounge in AUH as it was only 55 minutes between deplaning and boarding the LHR flight. My passport still won't scan at Heathrow so had to use the desk agent yet again.
  12. My gamekeeper friend had a black Patterdale and a right hard dog it was. Seen pulling a fox out of it's lair whilst the fox was clamped on it's face.
