Assuming the Australian Judicial System works in a way not dissimilar to the one operated in the UK, I would suggest that care needs to be taken in drawing any conclusion for a case being withdrawn due to evidential difficulties. The accused was charged with an offence of fraud; in order to secure a conviction the prosecution must prove, beyond all reasonable doubt each and every element of the offence charged. If they can not do that in respect of all elements, it is likely that following whatever codes of practice they follow that they would offer no evidence at court and in effect withdraw the charge. The withdrawal does not mean that the 'act' did not take place or any of the individual acts incorporated in the change were not committed; in very simple terms it means that the prosecution considered it could not prove all elements of the offence to the required criminal standard. In order to sustain a charge of fraud it is generally required that the prosecution are able to prove that the accused gained financially from the offence or some other party lost out financially. It may well be that the prosecution could not prove this/these elements of the charge.

A mini motor show in Terminal 21 Police Motor Cycle at Police Box Dolphin Circus. BM @Painterwill remember this. Mist (aka Pollution or haze - view in both directions along the coast. Surely time for this to be obliterated. Many restaurants open and servicing customers. I did notice many were drinking water or coke; there appeared a shortage of SHA plus + signs, so I guess not many as yet registered.

Wat Chai Mongkron (Mongkol) Pattaya Temple n the heart of Pattaya sits the city’s oldest and main Buddhist Temple, Wat Chi Mongkron (also known as Wat Chai Mongkol). Even though it is located on the corner of Second Road and South Pattaya Road, most people hardly notice it or take the time to stop in to visit. From the outside it is a rather unassuming compound, you could hardly believe it takes up 10 acres of land. Bordered on Second Road by shops and storefronts, the main entrance is located on South Pattaya Road. It is well worth take a half hour to look around the Temple and take in the sights and history.

Street Photographs From Pattaya Area

Whilst this looked abandoned in Walking Street this afternoon. I do not recall it being there earlier in the week when I passed by. -
Sighted the above in Walking Street and the below near Second Road. Regrettably I was not quick enough to get a decent photograph from the front of the second one.

A sighting of the paraglides; apologies for picture quality, a combination of misty weather and the fact that I only had 28 to 70 lens. BM @fforest posed the question of what is open in Walking Street, so I took a walk on Walking Street this afternoon. The answer is that not a lot is open. The bars and gogos are obviously closed and there are very few shops in the street that are not bars and clubs. The open ones are shown below. Appears to be cable laying. Plenty of activity around Bali Hi It looks as though free food is still being handed out.
