  1. Showroom is impressive. At least 2000 models displayed!
  2. @Thai Spice...When I was focusing on contract manufacturing and trading I did several die cast promotional premium projects for BMW and UPS. Next time, if there is ever a next time, you are in HK, go visit the Welley showroom is Tsuen Wan. It is ultra impressive if this is your thing! http://www.wellydiecast.com/
  3. Here is my least favorite moment of the week.....a pregnant lady just going about her business trying to get to work on time. You even look at the popo the wrong way now and they will beat the bejeezuz out of you. But same goes for the ninja....you even look at them funny and they will beat the shit out of you. Both sides more than battle fatiqued! For the first time in my 25 plus years here, there is a genuine concern for personal safety when near conflict zone and the kicker is a spot can be business as normal one minute, and insta war zone the next. Just not cool.... VID-20191112-WA0002.mp4
  4. Hate to contradict you, but nobody is more concerned and worried about the evolution of this deal than the wealthy elite. Nobody!
  5. 6am here on a Sunday morning in the 852. This place is beyond f***d for many years now. The world's first 3 sided civil war is more than in an embryonic stage. I have a network of very diverse titans who have been here more than 40 years. Google this name...Steve Vickers. Shared a few bottles of nice Italian Red on Friday night and got some truly unreal insights from the guy who is about as close to the heartbeat as one can get. This place is beyond f***d! My call,....the real carnage is coming at HK Polytech University....only a matter of time now, and that time is nearer than anyone would like to think.
  6. LOL....well interesting you say that....I am staying at HarbourView (@thumper63...family safe and sound in BKG...I am back to commuting to HK to keep bread on table😂) I wake up this morning at about 5:30 AM still feeling like shit from the tear gas, lungs and eyes still burning. I am hungry so I decide to wander over and see if McDonalds on Lockhard Rd is open as I need a egg/sausage mcmuffin. You know it has been a tough night in the 852 when not an East African Whore can be found stumbling the streets of Wanchai at that time of the morning and most of the bars like 109 and Players who are normally still cranking until 8am or after on a Sunday morning are closed and dark.....McD's indeed re opened so I get my mcmuffin fix....on the way back to hotel I come around a back corner and here is this old Chinese dude doing bong hits out of an old school bamboo bong. He offers me one so I go wtf why not....lol HK, ya gotta love the place...lol
  7. still trying to get the burn from my eyes and lungs out after getting tear gassed to the bejeezus in Wanchai yesterday afternoon. Was brutal....don't want to taste that stuff in that amount of dosage ever again. Popo are out of fucking control here..... @Thai Spice, it ain't cool.

    Golf

It is OVAH b4 it is over. Tiger looking very spry and refreshed compared to way he ended season. Might be the Geisha Girls????
  9. I agree. Sabai, hospitality, and genuine smiles are on a rapid decline here in Bangkok. Not a good market equation for tourist and regional business travel hub. Big problem!
  10. Was an absolute bizzare experience being in the heart of Central on Friday afternoon in immediate aftermath of Currie Lamb's most insane press conference ever. Never imagined a CBD could go from complete business as usual to unchecked anarchy in a matter of 15 minutes.....
  11. Not sure you understand why a PLA Tianamen like has not already happened....reality is at this point in time, CCP needs HK more than HK needs CCP. Take some time and watch this....much more at stake here for the CCP. They are on the ropes and reeling behind the scenes as we speak. (Note CCP is not China, it is merely the current ruling party and Monday will be its 70th Anniversary,...CHINA has been a sovereign state for 5000 years.....China will prosper in a substainable fashion but CCP is almost finished!
  12. You paying attention to the growing unrest there in Indo and how it could effect your lil beajungle lifestyle...world really needs to be paying attention to that one.
  13. Jalen Hurts another 400 yard day.....crap looking like Oklahoma might have back to back to back Heisman winners at QB with 3 different guys! GO GEORGIA BULLDOGS!
  14. Hate to see what is happening but I am still on the side they are more patriots than protestors! Going to take 20 years before HK economically will ever recover to where it was 1 year ago, but still...if the Canto get better control of their own destiny via Universal Suffrage it will be a better place in 25 years. Hate to be a pessimist...but on the Universal Suffrage issue.....next up SGP....I predict massive street protest there within 18 mos.....maybe it is the Greta Thornburg effect????
  15. And meanwhile in the new street protests in Indonesia 2 deaths by bullet already. Those folk need to stand up and keep fighting because those new laws being discussed are outrageous. Spicey what will you do if they actually pass that insanity. It basically would make you a candidate for a very very Long prison sentence seeing as you are not married to your gal.....
  16. Surely not going to be a good stretch to be hanging around a Starbucks in 852 next few weeks as they appear to be the new target. Big mistake Maxim's Group made not staying neutral!
  17. I just moved my Tues night flight back to 852 to early Wed morning. What a stupid oversight it was to be thinking 6pm on Oct 1 would be a good time to be touching down.
  18. Been one of more tear gassed zones! Everyone of big marches from Vic Park to Legco goes down Hennessy and when dusk settles in and front liners begin the confrontational tactics the police respond and front liners retreat back into Wanchai and further east often spilling onto Lockhardt. Forget the lil detail about Police HQ right there at end of Lockhardt. Personally I have sucked up some tear gas fumes on Lockhardt between Fenwick and Luard on 2 different occassions in last month. For people who live in HK it is quite easy to avoid all the bs, and safety is not a concern...essentially just stay at home, especially after the sun sets on a Saturday or Sunday night. But for anyone not living there....I will disagree with Spicey.....very stupid to go on a leisure visit to Hong Kong right now. The absurdly low hotel rates might be enticing, but good luck to you when you are wandering around tourist laden zones at 9pm and suddenly the mass transit stations are closed leaving you stranded, 75% of shops close down and water cannons come cruising down the street followed by a pack of over zealous raptors. The worst of it all 10000% still to come.
  19. If one is really jonsing to see Secrets may I suggest getting acquainted with THE WAYBACK MACHINE at this website - https://archive.org/web/ Secrets and pretty much any website in history, either dead or still alive still have plenty of archives in the public domain.
  20. Some very creative new tactics by the HK kids in their David vs. Goliath stand off!
  21. huh, my best mate here, a good ole boy from Texas is married to an Executive @ KBank HQ. Very cool girl. Expecting their 2nd boy in a few weeks.
  22. Did you notice the M2 supply graph in the you tube? China external economy is in a HEAP of trouble. What kind of news you get down there in Indo.....Jack Ma's sudden resignation from Alibaba and dilution of the VIE ownership from 100% to 20% was 11 months ago and front page news big time...for weeks. When you are talking feeding 1.8 billion people, basic maths as you call it would dictate 8% growth needed for 30+ years just to reach % of population above poverty level of avg G20 country.....Basic maths all depends on the starting point..... Basic math is more than %'s my friend! 10% of $10.00 is $1.0 20% of $4.00 is $.80..And when your m2 supply is twice your GDP and issued via printing press to a bank who than loans it out and 40% of that has, nor ever will be paid back, and what little is left RMB can't leave the country...uh that it called road to insolvency once the forex evaporates.
  23. never....only a short sighted foolio would even think a nuke is even remotely close to the most powerful weapon in the arsenal. Now the kill switch, that is a cause for concern, especially considering it appears to of been tested recently.
