  1. Then there was this time we had a Snowman and a couple of mates for a Friday night live session.
  2. I lost many of my photographs when Mongers Media disappeared during the change of server fiasco. By pure chance I recently discovered a source for at least some of my photo's covering the period immediately following Secrets opening and the next 3 or 4 years. It was that, and the hope to generate some positive momentum, that gave me the idea to open a "Feel good Nostalgia photo" topic on the Secrets forum. It was very well supported but it would be wrong of me to post contributions from there that are outside of my direct control. Secrets opened on 1st September 2006 and both Wombat and myself retired to Thailand the following month. We had a joint "Retirement Party" soon after which included a Dance Competion. Wombat and I selected a dance team of girls each: "He's got the moves like Jagger" I won first prize ( on my right) 🤣 No prize for guessing which photo's got deleted!! I remember during my first trip back to the UK somebody asked me " Whyever did you retire to Pattaya ? " "To get stuck into the local culture, of course !" 😛
  3. That is areally interesting print of the Mona Lisa on the wall. I queued for ages in the Louvre expecting it to be just like that print. I was so disappointed because I did not expect it to be so small. Quite irrationally, I had an overiding feeling of somehow being cheated. I certainly departed wondering what all the fuss was about.
  4. One for Galley Triumph's of Pattaya had a display today at my local Big C near Sattahip. Love these retro M/C's Bonneville . Thruxton
  5. This is thailand -247 mate. Your not on Secrets at the moment. 🙂
  6. The best cowboy film with the best cast and the most emotive them tune ever by Elmer Bernstein ever! I must have watched it 50 times.
  7. Really good place to visit. We went for the F1 a few years ago and had a great long weekend.
  8. Actually I am not straying too far from the bathroom having a very bad case of Ghandi's revenge. The first and very last time I buy frozen Indian dishes from our local western food shop in Bangsaray. The Rogan Josh/Chicken Balti/Pilau Rice/Garlic Nam combination has had a devastating effect on my insides and I have been nuking the bog for ever this morning. Definition of oxymoron: Indian dishes - local western food shop 😛
  9. It is the late footy kick offs which kill me. I set my alarm for 2.30am and I can never get back to sleep afterwards which would be a waste of time anyway as I let the dogs out at 6.30am so they can get some exercise chasing next doors cats. There mates really unless they come into our garden when they are lunch. 😀
  10. They can afford anything they have to pay Tottering. Manure's valuation has increased by 120 million since his sacking.
  11. Had my first attempt at making corn beef hash for my Sunday watching footy supper. Except I couldn't wait for the footy to start. 😀 From the base upwards: Fried onions; tinned corn beef; worcester sauce;baked beans; mashed potatoe Turned out great. 🙂
  12. Sai and I returned to Magg's in Jomtien Cheers! Sai had a steak and liver and bacon for me A really nice venue and the food was excellent.
  13. I commend your choice of reading matter to accompany your meal. 😀 Not the Gooners finest performance against the Huddersfield thugs but a great goal.
  14. I dislike Turkey and sprouts so traditional Christmas Dinner does not do much for me. On the other hand, I love Christmas Pudding which I am pigging out later on tonight but with cream. Very reasonably priced in Siambury's which I visted for the first time yesterday. A veritable Aladin's Cave of goodies.
  15. I am always "Hansum Man"................until December arrives.
  16. All is not lost - Gooner Jambo ( North Bank from age 9) has arrived.
