Yes I am. I could have spent another hour or so at the village but decided to get in the air con comfort of the airports.

Always a lot of good looking women at Bangkok airport but in my opinion it always steps up a level around Songkran.

I didn’t know my flight ticket gave me lounge access. Sitting in the Coral lounge at Udon Thani airport having breakfast.

With regards to the sound meters, my local pub has them and the power to the stage area is wired through them. If the band is exceeds a certain level they loose power. During a Cold Chisel tribute show at the beginning the power kept on being cut to the band until they lowered the volume.

It is some sort of soup and the shop only sells this one meal. I don’t speak Thai and the cook doesn’t speak English so I have no idea what the name of the dish is.

I like train travel so today I am catching the train from Udon Thani to Khon Kaen. About 120km each way and the return trips takes a bit over 5 hours.

Back in the early 2000s I seem to recall th girls were going for $20. That may have been short time but I think a lot of them stayed the night.

A bit of western fusion here as there wasn’t enough of either to go round. It was delicious. Spaghetti bolognese, omelette and baked beans with a bit of bbq pork on the side.

Plus they charged the missus 1000 baht for me. They put it down as a checkup. The wife wouldn’t challenge them but I did and got the 1000 baht back.

Not sure if this is an only in Thailand thing. Last week we got our teeth cleaned and I was told I needed a filling and to come back today. A different dentist and this one said I didn’t need a filling and sent me on my way. Missus had to get a filling so the trip wasn’t wasted.

My mum, wife and 2 beautiful nieces all have tattoos and to be honest I find them disgusting. That said it is their bodies to do whatever they want.

According to the missus the doctor said they have picked up some sort of infection. 2000 baht and 1 large bag of pills and potions each hopefully they will now be on the mend.

Yesterday I noticed that one of the young kids was covered in a rash and had small lumps everywhere. I asked the missus about it and she didn’t know but asked the mother and she said it had been like this for a few days. I said what are they doing about it and the reply was nothing as it is too expensive to see a doctor. I said tell them that we will take the kid to the doctors the next morning. Overnight another child had got the same thing. So for the last hour I have been sitting outside the doctors while the kids get checked out. Hopefully all is good and they come out soon.

More ants than flies.

It 40 degrees and here we are sitting under a tin shed in the back blocks of North East Thailand. The girls are eating green mangoes dipped in chilli sauce drinking warm beer poured over ice. Please shoot me.
