  1. That's why you didn't collect them... I did. And they aren't on my wall. They are in a couple of boxes. When I die my 2 nephews are going to go WTF! when they find half the shit I've collected over the years. I'll post my thumb pump oil can collection later for your amusement.
  2. Most the ones from the first post. Have no idea why I collected them but here they are.
  3. So over the years I have purchased old hammers. Don't know exactly why I started to collect them but I did. The first thing I look at is the handle and how well it has aged. The next is the metal head and I try to Invision the story it has to tell. Where was it made, how old is it who owned it, how many hands has it passed through, what was it's intended use ( besides smacking something ) and finally why did it in up in some junk drawer in a second hand shop begging me to buy it. These are all brass mallets. Most distinctive features of brass is that first it is soft and second is that it will not cause sparks. Except for the upper left... these are all tack / upholstery hammers. The left one is a rock masonry hammer. The ones that follow are of all sorts.
  4. Great photos Mr Blue. Thank you ever so much for all your hard work. Its greatly appreciated.
  5. A flank steak the GF picked up a few nights back. Medium rare at 125 degrees and 12 minutes on the bbq. Was ok but still a little tough. Maybe should of pounded it a bit before cooking g it. And served up with the GFs hash brown casserole..... which is always delicious. Sorry... can't tell which is the better pic so will post the both.
  6. These are the burgers that I had just cooked up when the GF noticed the bear in the back yard.
  7. He's a black bear... luckily we don't have grizzlies anymore here in Colorado. Because they have no problem in killing and eating people they were hunted to extinction in Colorado a 100 years ago. They can be the meanest Mother Fuckers you'll ever come up against out there in the wild. Whereas our bears are a lot smaller and are pretty timid towards humans." Black bear " is more of a species designation than a actual color. There are also red, brown, blond and cinnamon. I do believe i posted photos over on Sssssh of the albino bear that turned up in our back yard a few years back. He was also a pretty big boy.
  8. Had a friend who was always trying to get me to have a few drinks in Sensations and watch the world go by. Guess that's not going to happen now.
  9. Not a big snake but he sure got our attention. First one I've seen all summer which is very surprising. The big forest fire we had 2 years ago burned out all the dens we have up behind the house. We always had 3 or 4 that we saw regularly. With the fruit orchards just below us there is plenty for them to eat. But lately those orchards have been bordered by electrical fencing to keep all 4 and 2 legged creatures from helping themselves to the cherries, apples, pears, apricots, and peaches. Anyway, I had just bbq up some burgers when the GF let out a bit of a Yelp. When I saw what startled her we both skedaddle into the house. Sorry about the quality of the pics as I had to shoot them through the screens on the windows. This little fella had a beautiful shiny coat and looks to be very healthy. He was chowing down on our new grass. I guess 250 to 300 pounds. I just love living in the woods......
  10. A great big Happy Birthday to you.
  11. The end of another legend. Very very sad.
  12. 2005 was my first trip to Pattaya. My mate had booked rooms in some real dive of a hotel. When we got there and saw the place I refused to spend the night. We all went for a walk and discovered Lewinsky's. I stayed there 4 times before I switched over to Secrets hotel.
  13. I totally agree. These are all haunts that most of us have visited time an time an time again over the years and these sois I almost know by heart. I enjoy seeing and hearing whats going on by first hand accounts of people on the ground. Here I am stuck half way around the world and I personally can not get enough of photos of Pattaya that are posted on this forum. I already have a lifetime or 2 of Great memories of Pattaya and have met some of best mates one could ever hope to come across... I am not a doom an gloom kind of guy and never have been but there are changes going down in a town that I dearly love and I would really like to know the truth as experienced by people there that I know and trust. As long as the friends I have made over the years continue to return to Pattaya in the years to come ----- I will be more than happy join them.
  14. Lewinskis was the first place I ever stayed upon arriving in Pattaya. It was a great place with lots loyal customers. They helped us learn the ins an outs of the bar scene and how how to save money on daily life in sin city. what great times we had there.
  15. Some amazing photos Mr O. But I still love your Bangkok office gals the best.
  16. Start of a new day. Not sure what the GF has planned for as yet. There was talk of putting a new coat of stain on the wooden deck
