  1. It didn't survive, even after the promotion given in that video! I think it was a bit out of the way, and no reason to go there. Then the old spiral situation of no customers so no girls.
  2. Bachelor's in Soi LK is having work done on it: If the state of the mattresses is anything to go by, it is long overdue!
  3. It looked like construction work had re-commenced on the Las Vegas beer bars (Soi Diana) as I walked by a little earlier today:
  4. Ditto me. It's relatively easy to cope with any problems that might arise from arriving at the airport early. The same cannot be said of arriving late.
  5. IMHO, the best one is United, despite many of the staff having a really crap attitude.
  6. Have you got the ladyboys lined up yet? Don't forget to pack your bib! 🙂
  7. I don't think I've noticed it worse than it has been here today. 😠 The Thai government is very keen to protect Thailand's image abroad. Don't they realise how bad an image the smog portrays?
  8. PRESS RELEASE: Thailand witnessed a concerning environmental situation on Sunday afternoon (Dec 10), with approximately 40% of its regions experiencing thick and hazardous levels of ultrafine dust, as reported by the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISDA). GISDA’s report on https://pm25.gistda.or.th/ revealed that 31 out of the 77 provinces in Thailand, primarily in the Central Plain, experienced unsafe levels of particulate matter measuring 2.5 micrometers or less in diameter (PM2.5). These levels ranged from 38.3 to 75.6 micrograms of PM2.5 per cubic meter of air over the past 24 hours, with the safety threshold set at 37.5µg/m³. At 3 pm, the most severe level of 75.6µg/m³ was recorded in Samut Prakan, followed closely by 73.3µg/m³ in Ang Thong, 72.9µg/m³ in Bangkok, and 72.0µg/m³ in Nonthaburi. Lower but still unsafe levels of PM2.5 were reported in several other provinces, including Sing Buri, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Ayutthaya, Lop Buri, Suphan Buri, and many more. Residents in the affected provinces have been advised to steer clear of outdoor activities, as the Meteorological Department attributes the air pollution to stagnant atmospheric conditions. The preceding is a press release from the Thai Government PR Department. https://thepattayanews.com/2023/12/11/provinces-grapple-with-hazardous-ultrafine-dust-levels/
  9. If you are referring to Heaven Above, I totally agree with you. However, I'll be swerving party night - there'll be far too many people.
  10. ^^^^ Nowonder so many people are complaining about respiratory infections.
  11. Thanks. But I find it difficult to take on board that those things are worse here than in Bangkok.
  12. ^^^^ That suggests it is home made pollution. Who's the culprit?
  13. I took a look along the far end of (Pattaya) Walking Street this evening. It is so much different from how it was, say, 5 years ago. It is dominated by dance clubs catering for Indians, and some (I assume) gogos offering "Russian Girls". I hope these pics give a flavour of the place. I thought this gogo in Soi Diamond would have been forced to have changed its name before now. I'm a sucker for long hair. ☺️ She had a pretty face as well!
  14. I think it was. In fact, the place on Soi 7 is portrayed as a gogo by Nick Dean in his videos.
  15. With sound effects added here in Soi Buakhao, 15.
  16. I think you mean end date, not start date.
  17. I am concerned that Maneerat have a vested interest in saying that! There were some posts on Aseannow, dated 23 October, which said: I'm a condo owner that lives in my condo. I had NEVER filed a TM30 myself and was never asked for one over many many years living here. So I got this news and as I have an extension coming up, I freaked out. So I went in to Jomtien and did file for my first time. I expected there to be a fine. Daresay I probably deserved it. But happily no fine. So I asked the obvious questions? Do I need to file a new TM30 if I stay at a hotel in Thailand? As expected, no. Do I need to file a new TM30 if I leave and reenter Thailand? Surprisingly no. But pay attention -- ONLY because I was an owner occupant of my home. But keep in mind this was at the TM30 desk. --------------------- went to the very same TM30 desk after reading the very same PM story, and asked similar questions (also owner of my home). To me answer was I need to do IF 'I have something to do in immigration (like extension or residence cert.). Not necessarily contradictory to what they said you as indeed it seems no need to do if no need to deal with immigration. --------------------- If I feel up to it, I think I MIGHT wander down to Soi 5 next week and ask there.
