  1. Newbie luck more than anything, but settled on qBittorrent as a client many years ago when I first started using torrents for my entertainment source. Never had a problem with the software, knock on wood.
  2. That didn't take long. Officials are already backtracking from a poorly thought out vaccine requirement. Update: Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority Tells Airlines Unvaccinated/Travelers Without Vaccine Documentation Can Fly But Must Test on Arrival
  3. PR article on the Rezum treatment. Should you get Rezum treatment for BPH in Thailand?
  4. Quite a few of my friends have funny nicknames as most of them are in the Hash House Harriers. Here's just a few: Vietnamese Violator Mount Me Sperm Polluter (we named a local reservoir after him - link) IHOP (he lost a leg in a climbing accident) No More Cum AnySex Dot Com Sip Baht (one of our regular baht bus drivers to run sites)
  5. It's just crazy they have the vaccine requirement in place at all. The 2nd of my two jabs took place in Nov 2021 and by now whatever protection it offered has waned, not to mention it wouldn't be effective against any of the latest variants. So what are they hoping to accomplish other than the usual govt nonsense of do something just for the sake of looking like they're doing something whether it makes sense or not. I expect any day now to see them washing the streets again to get rid of the virus. Sheer lunacy I tell ya.
  6. The last sentence in the article is the early favorite for understatement of the year award. As history shows, Pattaya has always had a casual relationship with deadlines and schedules.
  7. Thanks. Probably why there is no torrent upload, nor an IMDB entry for that episode.
  8. Used to enjoy M Club when Neil owned the club. Tried it a few times over the years since with the most recent about six months ago. While they did a great job on the refit, found the few ladies there very aloof. No doubt a different experience if you were a regular, but it's hard to make a place a regular stop when the staff isn't friendly and welcoming to new faces in the club.
  9. Early on, but then AZ became their mass vaccine of choice. Think they stopped using Sinopharm because they saw first hand with their medical staff how ineffective the vaccine was.
  10. IMDB lists nine episodes with the E01 titled "Black". When I check IPT for the torrent download I only see E02 - E09. The episode order link also only lists eight episodes, with Black also missing. Is that an inside joke with the series that I need to watch the series to understand? BTW, thanks for the recommendation. I've added it to my long queue of must watch series.
  11. Coincidently, or maybe not, Pattaya has a new mayor. Just saying...
  12. Regarding moving posts into the more appropriate of the two topics on Covid. My suggestion would be to keep the posts here and edit the topic title to remove "(non-Thailand) Posts". Makes it easier on the mods not having to police and move what would otherwise be OT posts.
  13. Yes the authors of the study noted an anomaly in the data, and the authors of the other two studies cited noted a similar type of anomaly. But none of the studies explored the anomaly as it was outside the scope of their own studies. What was noted is interesting and worthy of a study to look at that specific aspect, but one can not draw a conclusion as the TrialSite author did based solely on data anomalies.
  14. I suspect the author of the article has drawn an incorrection conclusion from the study data cited. The study's focus and title is "Effectiveness of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Bivalent Vaccine". The study wasn't designed to look at the correlation between vaccine doses and incidence of infection. There are quite a few other possible causations for infection the study would have to look into to draw such a conclusion the author has reached. The author would have been better served to search for and find such as study. Perhaps you can come up with such a study? The correct conclusion from the study is the one cited in its summary. Summary Among 51011 working-aged Cleveland Clinic employees, the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine booster was 30% effective in preventing infection, during the time when the virus strains dominant in the community were represented in the vaccine.
  15. Quite the waste of money as the pavers and footpath surface they're tearing up was still in good shape.
  16. That's what I was thinking when I wrote the post. All well and good to live years or a decade or two past our expiration date, but only if the quality of life remains.
  17. Nothing mysterious about it. Those with the money and health resources can live a lot longer than those without. In end, and in the timeline of the cosmos, does it really matter if they outlast the have nots by a decade or even two?
  18. Perhaps this belongs in the funnies topic. The idea the vaccine confers immunity was long ago discredited. Hard to believe this guy is a Minister of Public Heath. Thai Public Health Minister Assures There Will be no Lockdown when China Re-opens Borders The minister went on to say that, “The vaccines available in Thailand can still create immunity. I encourage Thai people to get a booster jab against Covid to have immunity.” [At least he's honest what the real driving force is to opening the borders to a country with an out of control infection rate.] Gen Prayut told the press that, “People should not panic because Thailand’s preventive measures and healthcare system are top-notch. Also, Chinese arrivals will bring lots of income to the country.”
  19. Even more hilarious, they canceled the fireworks because of him.
  20. ^^^ Amazing they let Cruise do his own stunts. That would be quite a financial hit to the MI franchise if the star was incapacitated or worse from one of the stunts gone wrong.
  21. You know you're getting old when you see the video still and know immediately what the "Cold War Mystery" is.
  22. Not an obituary, but a RIP flag on my classmates.com entry which my brother brought to my attention. My first and last name are common enough that a fellow HS classmate saw an obituary for my name and assumed it was me. As for the Death List, if it were a wish list I would nominate Putin for the no. 1 slot.
  23. Just came across a site called The DeathList that a committee decides which celebrities are likely to die sometime during the coming year. Glad I'm not a celebrity. Hate to see my name on the list.
  24. Good catch. I was going by the date of the news article which had no mention of the actual date of death. Edited to add: Doh, it did mention Saturday. Gotta stop skimming articles and improve my reading comprehension.
