Reading this one and at 764 pages will take a while. A modern day version of James Clavell's Tai-pan.

The first two are. This one is getting bogged down in the genealogy of all the major players involved as he sets the scene. Interesting but heavy going.

Yes I do. She new what she was there to do and she was very good and enthusiastic about it. Also great company out of bed, the stories she used to tell were hilarious. A great loss to the bar game when she retired.

Thanks for reminding about Walter Mosley. I have enjoyed all his Easy Rawlins books and now I see there is a new one out. Blood Grove. I will have to chase it down.
