I am not doing it because I want to. It is the only way I can get home to what matters to me more than anything else - my wife and kids.

TBH I am obviously concerned about a lack of choice but if availability continues to be as good as it would appear to be today, then no worries, well for the dates I am looking at anyway. New hotels are being added to the approved list by the week. There is even a special promo running for discounts offered at certain places - Best Western up to 10k baht off bookings made by 13/11 for instance. Who can tell what availability will be like in a months time or even next week I guess, TIT and all that. At the moment I am narrowing my criteria by how flexible the hotels are in unforseen date changes and how much money they need at time of booking. Seems many require payment to their banks, no cards..

I am researching hotels in Bangkok for my quarantine stay. There would appear to be a good choice with prices starting from 29.000 baht to infinity 👀 So what's important? For me it has to be strong internet, edible food and a window 😁 and of course, value for money. Is it worth going for the cheapest place or spending twice as much money?

I was sort of lucky with my dose I guess. On the plane back to blighty I went for a piss and couldn't help but notice a green discharge - the legendary green monkey 😬 36 hours later I had some nurse stick a swab down my jap's eye and as the puss was in full flow, I didn't feel a thing. Apart from acute embarrassment..... Had a shot & 7 days of antibiotics then went back and f**k me squared the swab was painful, no puss lube this time. The nurse was a big Jamaican lady with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. I swear I would have punched her if I hadn't of been in abject agony. One other thing I remember now that I cast my mind back, the Doc told me not to drink whilst taking the pills because it might weaken their effectiveness. TBH code if I was in your situation I think I would be going to a clap clinic rather than self medicating. Not trying to, as you say "bust your balls" 👀 just offering an opinion for what it's worth. I am paraphrasing @STARGAZER on another forum, he said something along the lines of "emotion less sex holds no appeal these days". I have been the same since I met Mrs smiler. I am not saying my shit doesn't stink or that I am some sort of saint. I am just a bloke and sometimes need to let off a bit of steam as it were but kind of glad I don't think with my dick anymore. More than a few times over the years Mrs s has told me that if I go short time then she doesn't want to hear about it. That's fine by me 😊 Back on topic, last time I caught a dose, around 15 years ago, I went to the hospital in Southampton. Really don't want to do that again 👀

Hope you can get to talk to her soon Dave and she is quickly out of hospital. From the FB groups I am following, it's clear the Thais are not taking any chances with arrivals and Porn won't be the first to spend 24/48 hours under close observation.

Just made the decision - going to start the long journey back from UK to the jungle. Sure I don't want to pay to be locked up in a hotel for 2 weeks but can't wait any longer to get back to the family 🎉

I really enjoyed the Dr Siri books, read them when I was working in Laos a couple of years ago. They capture the spirit of the Lao people and culture superbly IMHO.
