  1. I work for a 6th form college which shut on Thursday, we are currently also moving into a brand new building with a brand new network, WIFI, and computers also new a way to manage our computers we have a month to have everything setup and move everything from the old building which is just about 100 meters away, the small team i manage will work two days at home and three days in the new building, The only issue i have is if the the London mayor insist on no travel or shuts down the TFL network then I am going to have an hours walk to work (I don't drive and never passed my driving test) which for me is not a problem. I know i am going to so busy for the next month it's going to go very quickly. I live with my with my Dad who is still quite active at 83 but also quite an old git sometimes we are in a 3 bedroom house so we can avoid each other when needed. But I also feel the need to make sure he will be okay he likes to go out and be in the Legion clubs and pubs he is a very social person and I think he is already getting twitchy. he likes racing I hate it, in almost everything he likes i dislike but I always try and find a compromise. Also his lady friend is currently messing him around, so I have him home more than normal. I'm pretty sure I can manage my time at home. I think i will miss my Saturday and Sunday in the pub but hey i'm sure it will all get better in the end. I love my music and i use the computers, tablets, and phone all the time I'm in contact with a lot of people over the internet, and will be using MS Teams for my meetings I can remote into work. as when i need to plus I have a lot of learning to do so being at home a couple of days a week will be good. Anyway stay safe and all the best
  2. Best of luck Phil and good luck for the future
  3. I have just been directed to this article on the Bangkok post I'm hoping they don't implement this? https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1878980/panel-to-mull-closing-all-entertainment-outlets-after-pub-outbreak but i have a bad feeling about this though i still have six weeks before i depart.
  4. the only saving grace is that everything so far is paid by credit card so if the decision to block tourist from the UK go ahead I at least I may get my money back, though my other worry is that BA may cancel my flight as well. As i see the news today they have now informed all their staff they will now have to start looking at how they operate!
  5. Yeah been not a bad little run over the last couple of weeks for the R's from my point of view we could have done better in January and early Feb especially when we were on TV early Saturday afternoon the Bee's gave us pasting but at least safe for this season
  6. I suppose my concern is that the UK goes into lock down in the next 10 days and within the next couple of weeks the UK citizens gets a blocked travelling to LOS
  7. Yes i hope so but like i said i don't really care if it's quiet as long as i can still get a beer, food, etc.. then i will be happy
  8. I'm hoping this will have all calmed down by the April 23. I don't want to cancel my visit to Thailand I need a holiday, had a crap year so far and need to get away I don't care how quiet it's going to be, I spoke to a friend she works in one of the bars in Soi Buakhao opposite the nature view hotel she was saying some places had shut and many places were very quiet not sure how true this though?
  9. Just catching up not been on here for a while but just waiting for an important call though it's one that I don't want to really receive.😭
  10. I had the pleasure of visiting Microsoft offices in Reading England 2 years ago, for an Azure course, while waiting we were shown to an area that had a lot IOT and camera apps, there was one camera that was pointing into the room and a large screen, everybody that came into view on the screen had an age tag displayed against their faces, I was amazed how accurate the age predictions were, had my age correct and all they team i was with as well. Whats strange is a lot of people think i am much younger than I'm really am. So how come the camera had it right?
  11. Hi I'm now back in the UK well... I have been back nearly two weeks now I got to visit Le Pub only once and that was before the supposed meet up with some other members though, Phil was a great host and provided some great advice on places to fish and visit, which helped my brother and his girlfriend. I normally travel solo to Thailand and I now know why,,, Though it was interesting showing my brother and his GF around, they just argued too much especially when they had too much to drink!!!! , I had a great trip and got to see some interesting stuff but I can't wait to get back on my own. Just a lesson learned I suppose.
