  1. Its a semi detached 2 bedroom townhouse. 2 floors with car park at the front, located near Punch and Judy (as was) Sent from my ASUS_X013DA using Tapatalk
  2. I,m happy to see that I am not the only one. I also received the letter a few months back and 3000 a year back dated 10 years (30,000bt) is the bill. I have paid 1 year and was waiting to see what happened to others. They told my wife if I did not pay by September (now) that there would be 10% added on by way of a fine. 3. I believe I can shed some light on this. Many aren,t fools but are on expenses and as long as they keep their receipts they get their own currency repaid in their next paycheck. I have worked with companies like this. The guy who is travelling for company business has a completely different attitude to when he travels on his own expense. He doesn,t want to inconvenience himself by walking round the airport to save his employers money. The same guys order lobster and fillet steak on expenses, then hit Cheap Charlies when they are self funding. Not fools but a little cheeky. All tax deductable anyway. In my experience they would no longer pay for alcohol (they used to) but never queried exchange rates. I suspect many airport exchange customers are of this type. Sent from my SM-J610F using Tapatalk
  4. I had both of mine done 20 and 17 months ago. The improvement continued for 12 months. Flesh was numb for months. Joint pain went pretty quickly and now all is well. I remember the constant terrible pain I was in beforehand and the likelihood that my joints would give way at anytime and I would collapse in a heap. I,ve kept a small house in UK so I have no problems with NHS which I am grateful for. Sent from my SM-J610F using Tapatalk
  5. My wife started on the UK visa on 17th July. Got that visa early August. 6th August attended the Spanish consul place for schengen visa. All complete and passport returned on 16th August. She flies from Bangkok on 5th September then we will drive thru the channel tunnel and on to southern Spain. She flies back from Manchester on 29th November. Got a multi entry no problem when stated I wanted to pass thru Andorra. Think I need a GB sticker on the car again and a green card. Visas will be honoured if issued. 6. Yes Pumps, but consider the fortune you save on flights and travel expenses . Got wife's 2 year visa and flight for £1000. Schengen visa another £100. Will go back with her early December, probably another £500 or so for my flight. The genuine experts there permanently have escaped all that. Just a point as I enjoy the variety and travelling but it's hurting financially. Sent from my P00C using Tapatalk
  7. As I understand it, you can take the original purchase fee plus an allowance for annual appreciation, but the house has gone up in value far in excess of the small annual allowance. But anyway, I will just be releasing funds to live on. I understand the above comment about losing assets but like I said, none of us are here forever. Sent from my SM-J610F using Tapatalk
  8. You are of course restricted in taking your money out of Thailand as in 22 years there is some appreciation. Sent from my SM-J610F using Tapatalk
  9. I,m just bringing my plan forward in time. We don,t know how long we have left to live. I,m also losing interest in Pattaya. I have an interested buyer already asking me to sell. He,s a Thai of course. Sent from my ASUS_X013DA using Tapatalk
  10. Getting the wife over again next month and driving down to southern Spain. Got some Euros stashed for that. On return to Thailand I have lost my retirement visa anyway so will be spending the million on hold for the visa. When thats gone, sell Pattaya home and spend more time in Issaan. Hope everything is settled by then. Sent from my SM-J610F using Tapatalk
  11. There is a percentage of the UK population that cannot afford to travel. That perventage is slowly increasing. Sent from my SM-J610F using Tapatalk
  12. 2 skinheads walking down Soi Buakhoa. One says "What would you do if a bird shit on your head" The other " Throw her out the door and never barfine her again" Sent from my ASUS_X013DA using Tapatalk
  13. Used to have a similar thread on Secrets. Sad but informative. Starting off with Freddy Star 74 yrs died at his home in Spain. Sent from my P00C using Tapatalk
  14. I paid 15000bt in 2007 for lifetime membership of all Tony gyms. I still use the main one almost daily when in Pattaya. Thats been my best bargain buy to date. Sent from my SM-J610F using Tapatalk
  15. Retired on 2nd April 2014. Early at 53yrs. No regrets yet. Enjoying life but mindful of sticking to a budget which has not got any easier these last couple of years. Sent from my ASUS_X013DA using Tapatalk
