A couple of thing accur to me about the Cummings episode. Firstly, if the media are so concerned that this story will damage the lockdown and cost lives then why did they report it? Secondly, they say he should resign as it should be the same rules for everybody, in which case they'll no doubt be calling on the thousands of people who've been caught breaking lockdown rules to resign from their jobs as well. Perhaps they should start with the crowd of press photographers who swarmed over Cummings' car in flagrant breach of social distancing rules.

My fault for not making it clear I was commenting on the posts about the UK introducing a new quarantine rule. From Thailand's perspective I would certainly agree with you.

This quarantine rule has probably been introduced purely as a bargaining ploy to encourage other countries to enter into reciprocal no-quarantine agreements. Thailand probably isn't an obvious candidate for this though.
