Everything arrived yesterday so I got my photos done in town straight away. I got a bit confused when they wanted my Thai DL but it was quickly clarified in a phone call to Som. It is for confirmation of my address here. I shall use my Yellow book. M'lady also called the agent she used for her previous husband's visa. He used to pay 26K baht but the price has increased to 33K !! So I am saving 10K with Som. Equally I don't mind paying the extra compared to Pattaya because it'd cost me that much in hotels and travel...and booze of course!!

Yep, that was when I moved to the Kap Choeng area in '97... a period of time when there really was fuckall to do in the village !!

Before jumping back into village life I sought advice from @forcebwithu and with that I decided to go ahead with the move. I had to understand why I failed in other villages first though and be sure it wasn't repeated. (the first failed because of me drinking too much Lao Khao ..the second was because of the in-laws). I am indeed a lucky man mate!!

Me and her 40 year old son were laughing together watching her cut down the old coconuts from last year. She can swing a machete when needs be and watching the coconuts fall to the ground was enough to keep us in place !!!!

She gave it a good hammering mate. Check out the leaves and branches on the deck! Behind are two jack fruit trees doing well and behind that the her coconuts are looking good too !!!

M'lady is out the back butchering pruning the mango trees back ready for rainy season !! There is a lovely cool breeze blowing out there today !!

Yep. She moved out of there around Covid time and freelanced in Boomerang Bar then moved back. Tried to get a donation from me by saying that her English husband was knocking her around a bit. That really was a damned good bar back in the days of the Malibu Bar opposite with the stage and shows ....
