  1. That's scary as her driving a van around the 'ring' popped up on my Youtube list this morning. RIP
  2. Yep you're right, hate to say it but it doesn't look too good but knowing that place it'll taste fine. I'd have a good go at it but probably fail. A mate on here asked if my ex-bird could eat it, she's 40kg and a bit, my reply was she'd piss it and be hungry again 2 hrs later.
  3. Add Steve Collins and Michael Watson to Benn/Eubank as well. Nowadays apart from Joshua and Fury I don't think I'd recognise any current UK boxer if he walked past me in the street.
  4. Without a doubt 2 of the greatest boxers of that era, add into the mix Duran and Sugar Ray and what a time that was.
  5. Marvin Hagler gone now. https://www.bbc.com/sport/boxing/56390270
  6. Perfect description of it, I was in Time Bar and looking at a nearly empty Billabong one night and the noise was so bad that it was 'check bin' and out. Cafe Racer told me that due to the noise from there and the old Office agogo they put doors in their place to keep the noise out of there. And yet some people swear it's great ?
  7. Anybody else having problems with Netflix in Pattaya being really slow to load ? I'm with True internet and get great speeds with them and no problems with other sites but it's taking forever to load Netflix on both Chrome and Edge and when or if I do get onto the site it takes an age to load what I want to watch. Once it's playing it's perfect with no buffering but actually getting the site to load is getting beyond a joke.
  8. I'm no techie at all but have found that any problems with my old laptop were usually cured by a system restore. Nearly always something would go wrong after a Windows update.
  9. I didn't see your post but I will say I'm sorry to see you go as you were a good poster.
  10. Who's died and where's the ghost ? Get those in and it'll be spot on.
  11. Good video that and Nicky's is a great place to go. It's possibly the only place in town that I've not heard a bad word about.
  12. What gets me about it is the total lack of sportsmanship shown. If anyone had a shred of decency here they would have told the penalty taker to deliberately miss the kick. To me it's just cheating full stop.
  13. All I'll say is let's wait and see how it goes now. I'm just hoping there isn't an influx of certain arse licking posters from PA, I came here to get away from them and if they came here I'd then have to make do with Live which isn't a nice thought.
  14. That first photo of Wonderful Bar would have maffewh hitting the special brew as he was always on about how he loved that place.
  15. Has it been on here or has anyone else heard the rumour that TQ will be reopening on the 12th ?
  16. 45,000bt + for 2 of them but as they said they have the money and there's nothing for them in their respective countries and it's cheaper for them to stay here and get good weather etc.
  17. No idea, 2 came in December and 1 last week, I didn't think they needed proof of vaccination to get in here ?
  18. I have 3 mates that have done the quarantine and are here for at least a year, all are over 70 and 2 of them have 'wives' so they won't be doing the bars and agogos, the third likes to think of himself as a bit of a stud but he's more likely to get a cheap Beach Road girl once a week than be barfining anywhere. Another arrives this month and he will be in the bars to start with but then he quietens down after a few days, one more is coming from Germany for 3 months as he's semi retired and has cash but he's another that doesn't really bother with the bars or barfining. Another 2 people I know have stayed here on extensions but again neither of them are big on the bar scene.
  19. I can only comment on what I saw which I'll admit wasn't a big walk around town type thing. The last time I was in town at night was in September and to me it seemed busier then than now. Maybe before or after I was there it was busy but all I know is for sure that it's nowhere near as busy now as it would be on a cold rainy night in low season. I've read reports too saying ibar and 808 were busy and open until 3-4am and some Walking Street and LK Agogos were standing room only but that's not my scene so I can't comment. I've seen reports that Soi 6 is busy and then another report says 2 customers on the whole Soi ? In September last year when I went I did a mini type report on here somewhere and said that there were a hell of a lot of girls in the bars, this time around I'd say there wasn't nearly as many so maybe a lot have gone home ? I saw a great line elsewhere last week and it sums things up for me. As the great Abraham Lincoln once said ''The problem with the internet is that you don't know what is the truth and what is false".
  20. Got to agree with that, usually there's 10 teams in the hunt but this time around it seems to me the top 6 are just about sorted already. I wouldn't be betting on anyone outside those 6 reaching the play offs now.
  21. I was out on Thursday night about 8pm and headed to LK Metro but it was only a quick visit. A couple of bars looked fairly busy, Billabong was maybe 40-50% of what would have been a normal pre-covid night, Time Bar and Fever looked busy, Cafe Racer was quiet, Scooters and the other bars in that area were also quiet looking. I don't do gogo's so no comment on them. I then stopped for one in a bar opposite Areca Lodge as a favour to a mate in Oz that's worried about a bird that worked there. Soi Diana looked dead, I went back through LK and went via the Soi Buakhow end and turned left towards Soi Honey ( Climax Bar was closed up ) and the live music place was busy as was the place on the corner of Soi Honey, bars on the opposite side didn't look busy. I came home to the Darkside and stopped off in 4 bars about 10pm near the Booze Lounge and in 3 of them I was the only customer, the Booze Lounge had maybe 2-3 customers in there but a girl told me it was busier earlier. What I will say was that I was really disappointed in the quality of the girls I saw working, there was very very few what I would call stunners working and a lot of older ladies working, again I didn't go drinking in a lot of places but from what I saw walking past I couldn't often say 'wow, that's tidy'.
  22. Just blitzed it, I'd seen something about Challenger before where the truth came out ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Challenger_Disaster ). This was a good watch too.
  23. Feel free to put the rumour here as I have to be honest and say that I know absolutely nothing about the woman ? The only time I went into the old Pooks Bar was in 2007 to watch the rugby world cup final because they had a big screen set up.
  24. Shame about Pook Plaza as it was a good place for a couple of beers, some pool and people watching, definitely sad to see it go.
