The new gogo opening up the Soi is a gogo on the ground floor and karaoke on the second floor. Couldn’t believe it when the Thai lady owner told me the rent. It’s actually more than my place and it’s half the size. The last resident there was paying less than half the rent she is now. New TVs, fridges, sound system going in. She’s spent a fortune.

Hop on a white songtaew and stop off at the next beach resort on the way down to Cambodia, next stop Sattahip, Rayong etc. some amazing beaches, cheap and quick.

There’s a new Gigi opening soon in Soi Diamond. The sign has been outside for weeks now and the workmen have been in for about a month. Not a cheap refurb either, full JBL sound, Daikin Aircon. They had a staff meeting this afternoon. Have no idea when they are opening. It’s a tiny bar and I can see them doing much but wish them well.

Yes, the girls didn’t like Mandarin (they had previously been at Runway) so they moved to Bypass. They’ll have a hooter in there soon, the owner just bought mine. Too loud!!!

Don’t forget we’re not a sports bar, but when we do sport we do it well. Man U v Liverpool, Sunday 9pm. No sound but 4K picture, loads of lovely girls and a nice atmosphere.

Hey smoothie, glad you made it over here. Ilene is my cook and I’ll let her know if your impending arrival. Yes, sometimes I do just look around and enjoy the fruits of my labor, although it wasn’t really conceived, I just added features and ideas as I went along. The bar is all about the staff really and not me. But I thank you for your kind words and see you soon.

Buddha day tomorrow so closing at midnight tonight but maybe open for a few cups of tea and coffee tomorrow from about 7pm. The big match tomorrow night will have full commentary, Liverpool v Bayern. Last week apart from Saphire we were the only bar on Walking St showing Champions League

Eat regularly at Big Kahuna and have never had a bad meal there. Highly recommend.

Mai Thai Ex girlfriend used to work there. Run by Belgian man and Thai wife. Very nice food, a bit dark but very nice. -
Sport is a bit thin on the ground this weekend. Have FA Cup and Bundesliga, but not a lot more. So here’s some girls. All still working in the bar.

I also wondered if whoever had published the old news story about Larry has asked him if it was ok. I know that Larry was psychology scarred by all of that and I’m not sure he would want photos of him being arrested being published again. I can sympathize with him on this, you never know who’s got it in for you and when the police have it in for you. You worry about it. If it had Larry’s blessings then just ignore this post but if not no think the photos should be deleted. The spirit of this thread is happy memories of Secrets. Phil

Couple of sporting events over the weekend. Six Nations and Super Bowl. Both live. Super Bowl has full US broadcast feed with adverts, half time show etc. Have commentary and breakfast service.
