Im probably worse than you regarding computers and phones but I would think you could attach the said photos to an e mail address and then send it to yourself . Then open the mail on your computer.

ill get me tin hat if that's shit advice . I'd like to know an alternative aswell.

Assuming the computer is running windows 10 have a look at "your phone".

Easy to set up and links you phone to PC.

Thanks for that but i'm on W7 but i will be going over to W10 when BM Miko comes round to my gaff to help me out, great guy is Miko, so helpful to a Com Dino like me.

NB - But if ya need your helicopter engine changed or a business plan drawn up i'm your man lol

Another option is create a locked folder on your facebook account and upload to there then save to PC as you want them.

Pics sent by MMS have been compressed and while they might look ok on a phone screen will look shithouse when viewed on a larger screen.

However (just tested on my Galaxy S6)

If you tap on the picture in the MMS message it will save the pic (in my case to the Downloads folder).

Install an app called Airdroid. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid)

Open Airdroid.

Select AirDroid Web

Select Option 2, Connect via IP address: It gives the IP address of the phone on your local WiFi network.

On the PC open a browser (both Chrome or Firefox work) and enter the IP address (plus the :8888) in the address bar of the browser)

Hit Accept on the phone.

Use the File option (on the browser) to navigate to the phone folder where the pic was saved to.

Download the pic from the phone to the PC.

The AirDroid method is no more difficult that changing the engine in a helicopter.

It is basically

Open Airdroid on the phone.

Open a browser on the PC.

Connect the browser to the phone.

Transfer files.

And what do you think the AirDroid suggestion was about?

Air Droid is a method for connecting a phone and PC WITHOUT CABLES.

Can you open an app on your phone?

Can you open a browser on your PC?

If you can do the above without a PHD then you can run AirDroid!

Yes there is numerous cable free options but the OP is not coming across as tech savvy, The issue he is having is cable related hence the easiest option is too ensure the cable is a data cable and not a charge only cable.

Meanwhile I had the great idea to restart my laptop...

FFS, this Window 10 thing is a MEGA pain in the ass....

There is always something to download (behind my back), upgrade etc....

Love the "This may take a while"  FFS, whats the point of being smart computer if he doesn't even know how long it will take !
