Can anyone here explain why they have made it very very clear the Pattaya station WILL be in Nong Prue.....Yet they keep yapping away that the monorail will connect to the station IN Pattaya which WAS going to be the station BEFORE it was moved to Nong Prue which is 12 km away......This in turn wrecked their monorail plans..

Does  Pattays high speed rail station look like its in Nong Prue to you on this map?

Pattaya to construct 4 monorail lines

In February 2023 Pattaya deputy mayor Manote Nongyai confirmed the station would be built on a 900 rai site in Nong Prue tambon, Bang Lamung district and include a mixed-use development.[3] Public hearings were held in May 2023.[4

As far as possible they will be using SRT land for track and station, but the mixed use development could be a money maker. How high speed is it?

One more thing about the monorail.......

If the high-speed rail station was going to be in Pattaya at first then they decided to move it 12 miles away to Nong Prue and then decided to move it back to Pattaya........OK then fair enough...I have no problem with that...

What bothers me is the collective amnesia of ALL the media that reported the new monorail update on June 21st......

Not even one of them even gave a passing mention of the Big Big announcement by the Mayor 4 months earlier in February that the new station Will, for sure, absolutely be built in Nong Prue.....

Nope....

All the media was brain-dead....Like the February announcement that they themselves covered heavily......Never happened at all....

Weird.....

That is yesterday's news which doesn't sell anymore, so it isn't important.
