  2. I have noticed about half a dozen tour buses in Pattaya over the last few days. The equipment for the Music at the Firework Festival on Friday and Saturday is being unloaded and installed.
  3. Work on the drainage at the edge of the paved area.
  4. Watched 7 - 8 men strip the corrugated roof from this building.
  5. A few from yesterday. The last four shots are all hire bikes.
  6. Whilst I make no judgement either way, the point I would make is that where the restrictions are being enforced and 'drinkers' are being taken to court, the charge/conviction is for breaching Covid Safety Legislation, not any sort of offence based on Liquor Licensing Supply and Consumption legislation. Anyone with such a conviction could have a problem, perhaps in seeking employment or similar, when seeking employment or membership of one of the professional regulatory bodies, such as the Law Society. A conviction under Liquor Licensing could be easier to justify and present less repetitional damage.
  7. Salmon, pepper, corn and mushrooms done in the air fryer and served with rice.
  8. From this afternoon. Nothing really spectacular other than the Fireworks Event which takes place next weekend. I am booked in at the Dusit Thani Buffet for Friday Evening and will take my chance somewhere on Beach Road for the Saturday show. Paddington bear started in the same way at Photograph 4.
  9. I have used the Bolt App several times over the last few weeks for journeys which went outside the traditional baht bus routes; also used it on two occasions when it was pouring down with rain. Waiting time seems to be about 3 or 4 minutes. On a couple of occasions the time initially showed 4 minutes and gradually dropped to one minute and then shot back to four minutes again. I have noticed over the few weeks that I have been here that the number of baht busses on the streets seems to have fallen; this mostly around and after 2100. Baht buses driving round trying to pick up 'a private hire' booking has disappeared. Still had a couple of occasions where taxi drivers have asked for more than the agreed Bolt fare on the App. I usually have the correct fare sorted out, rounded up the nearest 10 baht before starting the journey so I just give them that. I am still of opinion that the taxi drivers, by asking for inflated fares are responsible for the growth of Apps like Bolt and Grab Taxi. How long the low prices will continue if the number of visitors increases is of course unknown. Over all so far so good. Typical fare yesterday from Naklua Road to Big Buddha 82 baht.
  10. A few from this evening around the Concert; also some indication of the number of attendees on the beach. Better weather (some rain in the afternoon but not too bad) than for the Music Festival Weekend and better organised in the evening. Pictures of beach. taken at f2 to show numbers involved.
