Marveling at the cool weather here in Bangkok....good lord, this is the way it is suppose to be. Going to go try a jog down at the park here in 45 minutes or so. We'll see how far I can run with relatively no humidity. Beats the shit out of the treadmill, that's for sure.

Dam Alan, I just wish I had a "magic wand" to wave at you and make things better. Always hate to see people in situations you are in, realize they want better, but struggle to get out of it. You have my respect for sticking it out and we all hope for the day when we hear from you that you are doing much better.

@Lemondropkid Hey LDK, this gal at the gym and I were just talking about this subject a few weeks back. She tells me that you really need someone in a "one on one" situation to really learn. She was asking me about how I was doing learning? I told her I struggle, and she also told me and my wife told me the same, that is NOT to try to learn Thai using English characters. I find You Tube videos to help me. I can run and re-run them and I do. Wifey tells me that she is convinced I could learn to be fluent, as what I do speak, I speak well she tells me. This gal "Fa" told me she worked with a guy from Germany that lives in her neighborhood for 2 years. He is married to a Thai gal. He would come over every Sat for 2 hours, she would give him assignments to work on during the week that his wife helped him with and he now speaks, reads and writes fluently. She showed me a video of him, I am impressed. Fa speaks perfect English, has a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and works as a Design Engineer at a company called "Control Logic" here. She is nice to look at too. If you ever re-locate here, she might be able to help you??

That was the opening number back on Feb 2011 here at Impact Arena. God, The Eagles were good. It was on this night, that I realized how great they were and the harmonies from these guys especially on this number really stood out. Glenn Frey was still around and so glad I took wifey to see them. Every number they played that night was just done to perfection.....truly amazing. One other caveat from that evening, this was the first night of their SE Asia tour back in 2011, they were in Bangkok, rented out Impact Arena for the entire week to rehearse. How do I know? Joe Walsh told everyone. He also told everyone that this a great country, they love this place and he "might have to get a part time job" as his wife was buying a ton of 23ct Jewelry while here. My wife loves me for ever now, she told me after this show, I believe her, cause she's not like other Thai girls...she doesn't tell lies. @galenkia Well said Eric, Alan, even though we have never met in person, I can tell you are a class act and you have been through alot and overcome some serious things in your life, you got alot of friends here. I would hope one day, you would come back here to LOS and we could meet up. We will not drink any alcohol, and STILL have a great time. Great news Eric, really happy that you are in a better place now. The Icing on the cake the way I see it is, Edmonton is hoisting the cup next June, you are at the parade macking it up, then you fly here to Thailand and your first bar fine, dinner and drinks and an LT are all on me OK? Yeah, it is amazing how they do this. Like you, I can't watch. I asked wifey if her home owners insurance policy covers any of these guys falling down and breaking their neck on her property? She said "yes" thankfully. The bottom section was completed last week, the second story should be done by Friday. I gave each one of these guys 500 baht tip yesterday ( without wifey knowing) and told them "Ra Wang" Be careful.....they knew what I meant, and smiled and nodded their head. Don't ask me about the colors, those were her choice. She likes bright😂 Same as the guys who come and trim the trees, they crawl up there branch by branch in their bare feet hacking away at each section. Amazing Thailand! LOL!

It's frightening for me to watch the Thai's at work at times. Wifey has decided every 5 years we need to get the house painted..yeah OK, it takes these guys all day to "build" the Bamboo sticks they walk on to actually paint the house. Each unit held together is just by tie rods!

A biz trip to Manila in 2002, went with some local guys in the office to check out Makati...some nice bars and certainly some nice "Pinays" to have some fun with but...I as an American would not go there alone by myself. Some of the local "mafia" were giving me the stare down even with the guys I was with.

Trust me when I tell you, Ployfon would keep me busy for a while. Plus I was ONLY 60 years old back then.....😇

Yep, wifey has 3 of these at the house...Dyson makes a good product. We use these everyday..The one upstairs is on from 6:00pm until we wake up in the morning. Revolves too..

Just reminiscing over some pics from Nov 2017. Had seen that these "Bunnies" were going to be at Promenade Mall 6 years ago right? Wifey and I went over, she went over to Fashion Island, met her an hour later at Sizzler for dinner. These gals came out, they did a "dance" of sorts, then each gal was given a microphone to tell their admiring male fan club their names, ages and what they were doing in life, done both in Thai and English. They they went into a question and answer period with all the admiring males LOL! One Thai guy asked one of the girls if she would go to dinner with him? She was cool. She told him " Sure, but you have to take all of us, we like to eat, did you bring your credit card"? After that was over, they all did poses for everyone and and at that point, you could talk to your favorite girl. I was just standing around taking pics looking like the village idiot ( I am good at this LOL!) The first pic, this one gal named "Ployfon" on the far left comes over to me and says " Oh hi, how are you"? Wow, was not expecting that. She asked me "Do you live here"? I told her my entire story, she asked me if I am treating my wife good? Dai Krap....So she tells me she is leaving Thailand in January, to go to Medical School in Hong Kong. She is studying "Endocrinology" and wants to work in that field and eventually be an "Endocrinologist" back here in Thailand. This is the gal you want to "hook up" with......if in a few years if my "Thyroid" goes south and I am being treated at Phayathai Hospital....I hope Ployfon is there to help me 😁 Really nice gal..I wonder how she is doing?

Just thought I would throw up these car pics. Aug 2021, back home in Calif. They had this show at Reid Hillview airport. My pick of the litter would have been that Blue 302 Mustang....guy told me someone has offered him $50k for it.....he still would not sell it.

My buddy sent me an e-mail this morning, I used to work with him. He was a kick to say the least. He reminded me of the time exactly 10 years ago we both called into work sick to go out to celebrate Halloween. We both got dessed up a bit, then made a whole day/night of it. Breakfast at one of the Viet Coffee Shops, stayed a while, then hit 2 more to oogle the girls a bit. Finished up the night at Hooters....wow, 10 years has gone by fast.

Yeah Matt, I have my version of "Natt" at home here....I help her and am her designated personal trainer LOL! Of course, she thinks her butt is still too big. I am working on a few gals at the gym....will post some videos/pics when I get them. The gals at the gym I go to, are really cool.

All good inputs by everyone, good to see some of us taking our health seriously these days. No big revelation here but...you can be relatively healthy and go out eat/drink and STILL act like a "Rock Star" occassionally, just balance it all out with a good exercise program. One other thing I wanted to mention, I see alot of guys NOT doing cardio, because they just hate it. In my opinion a big mistake. Cardio burns fat and is essentail to good blood flow and really good for your heart. I am on a 3/2 schedule, 3 days at the gym, then 2 days of cardio on the treadmill here at the house. Following week, 3 days of cardio, then 2 days at the gym. I like this program and been doing it for many years now. One other thing, I use "bands" as part of my routine too...especially good for shoulders. Like alot of us, I am NOT getting any younger and found that doing overhead military press was taking a toll on me, my neck was really sore day after. Using bands are a good way to take care of this problem. I bought the orange ones 6 months ago here. It may look easy, but they are not, but much better on the neck you know. Being smart and not trying to lift more then you are capable of doing is key too. Check your ego at the door you know. I tell you, I see some guys my age both Thai and others, doing way more then they should be doing. A complete disaster waiting to happen you know. If you blow out a disk in your back or something else....it is not going to be pleasant. Keep up the good work gentlemen...... 20231018_104312.mp4
