For the last 5 years (at least), downtown San Francisco was always a shithole, in my opinion. I used to dread using the Embacadero BART station because of the homeless and drug situation.

Hi Tech support team. I am on my mobile phone running Android. When I try to log out, I cannot seem to find the sign out button when I tap on the 3 horizontal bars on the top right of the screen. I noticed that if I read a few messages and then try to sign out, I do see the sign out link, but when I tap on it, it disappears. Thank you in advance

Which newspaper in the UK is most "reliable"? Like many here, I find that the newspapers stir up shit for no good reason. We have a fuel shortage because of panic buying, not due to supply.

I did try Tetleys in the US but found the Lipton Yellow Label to be better (my opinion, of course).

I saw a "documentary" on Yorkshire tea vs PG tips. It consisted of people stating their preference for each of the brands - the conclusion was that each one has a very loyal following. I just moved to the UK and purchased Yorkshire Tea - I will try PG Tips next and make a decision on which one I like best. Stay tuned 🙂

Would love to know more about the "lock and and leave" apartment. I also had similar plans but a career change brought me to the UK from the USA, so I have to work for another 5 years before I can apply for the permanent resident visa. Then I can retire 🙂

I watched a program on TV where they showed the Heinz factory somewhere in the UK where the baked beans are canned. Judging by the amount of baked beans I see in this thread being consumed, I think that I better buy shares in Heinz ☺️

You are doing the right thing. I would rather trust the medical facilities in the UK and other first world countries than those in Thailand, unless you have lots of money to get treated at a private hospital in Thailand.

Jade House is now for sale. The previous owner has "leased" the club to someone else and when I visited the place in late December, there were only 4 ladies working. I will be surprised if it is still open in 12 month's time.

Time to shut down the soapies!
