  1. Good for you Steelers . . . When I get back to Thailand that's exactly what I'm going to do. Been thinking about it and planning it in my head for a 2-3 years now. Not about me - it'll be a crime fiction book, not set in Thailand. I watch a lot of the crime reality programmes and crime movies. I have some good ideas and I'm excited to get stuck into it. Just need all my affairs to be sorted out here, then relax time in Thailand with the time to do it. Can't wait.
  2. The Lake District is such a special place. Some great family holidays there when I was a kid with my brother, mum and dad. For 5 years straight we rented a wooden cottage in between Ambleside and Coniston. Such great times and we "did" Coniston and Coniston Old Man, then progressed onto Scafell Pike. At one point in the late 60's I was the highest person in England . . . That's a lovely pic and really captures the Lakes at it's best.

Really hard to tell as on the golf last night she had the face mask on, so difficult to distinguish. She had beautiful eyes, that's for sure . . Bianca looks lovely. There are some real hotties on the ladies tour these days, I enjoy watching the ladies majors, both for the golf and the ladies. Getting back to the men, watching the PGA this weekend has been really enjoyable after 11 months without a major. Now there's going to be 6 more in the next 11 months. Can't wait. The Masters in October will be interesting. Wholly different I imagine from the usual April hot weather. The course won't be so pretty with the flowers as it usually is.

Absolutely stunning. She even looked gorgeous in the facemask . . What a performance from such a young lad - fantastic. That tee shot on 16 was incredible. Comes over as a really nice fella too. Good for him and I reckon there'll be more majors coming his way.
  5. Awesome song and with the orchestra, well, double awesome . . .
  6. That's amazing Namps, TFP. I put the vid on thinking I'll listen to half an hour, but I was hooked and watched the whole thing, start to finish, non-stop. Those 2 guys are brilliant. Articulate, to the point and put the cases over so well. Really enjoyed it and crikey it makes you think. There go I but for the grace of God . . .
  7. Yep, done that a few times. Takes between 90 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the waves . . . Have done it via taxi too, before the ferry became a reality. That's about 6 hours and a real, real pain in ass . . .
  8. Seeing the Helen Shapiro song reminded me of some of the other 60's female singers . . Dusty Springfield sure had a fantastic voice . . . The barefoot Sandie Shaw . . . Love this song . . . Last but not least . .
  9. Looks like a good group of ladies Phil . . . 👍

A man after my own heart - a cigar and a glass of red . . . Met him at Wentworth a few years ago. Top bloke.
  11. Loved the Kinks. You spurred me on to look up some favourite oldies by them . . . .
  12. Absolutely agree that those are two of the best tracks ever by the Stones. I was like yourself, had never seen them live, but managed to do that around 8 years ago, at the O2. I bought the most expensive tickets and took a Thai gf with me. Got to the O2 and was ushered to our seats and I was hugely disappointed after spending so much on the tickets. We were in the first row of seats, just above the far end of the standing area. WTF I thought. Anyway, they came on, did maybe 3 songs and at the end of the 3rd song they all got together in the middle of the stage. Odd I thought. Then the stage started moving - the middle section, maybe 20 feet across, started to move forward from the main stage. It pushed through the standing crowd and ended up right in front of me. They did about 5 tracks in that position - they were only about 10 feet away from me. I then understood why they were the most expensive tickets. It was awesome and the 5 tracks they did in front of me were many of my favourites - the oldies. Paint it Black was one of them.
  13. Great that you're doing well Phil. Pleased for you mate. Keep that red wine stocked up. Sounds like it'll be a good vintage by the time I can drink it . . . 😩
  14. Quite a few times I imagine, though they did seem to really enjoy this one. Great they had Jason Bonham on drums - that will have made a difference.
  15. Yep, it's really sad to see. Can't see how the vast majority will survive without the tourists, let alone how they've survived for the last 4 months . .
  16. Great work CS . . 👍 Do we get an update on August 19th? 😉
  17. Absolutely. But from what you say, sounds like it could be worth a box-full of tissues . . . 😉 You mention that you have her number - bet you've messaged her . . 😉
  18. Really tricky one - I admire your will power mate, must have been hugely tempting. Maybe meet her again for a meal to suss things out further . . . Did you happen to notice on her i.d. that she's telling the truth about her 20th birthday next month?
  19. The Solicitor has no excuse then mate. Ask her to show you what date she actually applied for Probate - they would have emailed her notification of receipt, which they did with me. I got an email within 10 minutes of confirmation of receipt telling me it was approved and next day got the certificates through the post. Use me as an example if you wish - happy to forward you on the emails too if you want to shove it in her face . . .
  20. Aqualung - just send me and @nampla69 a PM with the address and we'll go sort your niece out . . . 😉
  21. Solicitors have a habit of dragging their feet. The biggest issue with Probate is if the estate is close to, or over, the inheritance tax threshold (£325k). As you're aware, my mum passed away on April 5th. The Solicitor wanted £750 plus VAT to handle the Probate. I told her where to get off and did it myself. I got Probate granted within a week, though my mum's estate was a fair bit under £325k, so I guess with so many Probate applications going in due to Covid deaths they approved it straight away. Give your Solicitor a major bollocking mate and tell her to pull their f*****g finger out.
