  1. Just read again my policy and no requirement to disclose conditions after the insurance has gone into effect. There's also the fact that on renewal there's no provision for declaring medical issues that arose in the prior year of coverage.
  2. If there is one. My policy with IMG doesn't have that.
  3. Good question. I've had my current policy for about 14 years. About four years ago I started on meds for high BP, but never informed my insurance company. Never even considered that I should as it's not a pre-existing condition. I doubt it's a requirement of the policy to notify the insurance company, but I would welcome a correction on that from anyone that knows otherwise. I also don't believe submitting and collecting on a health insurance claim would affect future premiums. That's never been the case dealing with the US health care and insurance based system.
  4. Had a laugh when the old lady asks her son Gary to come to the door. That's my name as well, and I too had a bedroom in my parent's basement. And if you haven't guessed by now based on my board name, I'm very much into SciFi.
  5. I just had a look at new posts over on PA and read one that identified the owner of the condo that caught fire as a longtime and frequent poster on PA. He had announced recently that after 15 years here he was heading back to the UK and had thrown a fckoff party for himself at Sapphire last Sunday. The good news is he's ok and escaped with only minor burns. Fire Breaks Out at Pattaya Condominium, Causing Extensive Damage
  6. The link is in the first post. The filter only is one of the options you can choose using that link.
  7. Drones are now being used to good effect to capture incredible video.
  8. Just found out one of my dogs has a fondness for durian.
  9. The one we bought is easy to disassemble the main parts which makes cleaning very easy.
  10. I've been to Yellowstone many times, backpacking and hiking the trails in the park and whitewater boating the area rivers. Just an outstandingly beautiful area. Me and my boating buddy had a favorite stupid human trick we liked to pull while in the park. While driving through the park we'd pull over, jump out of our truck and just stand there and point off into the distance. Within a short time we'd have a gaggle of vehicles of all sorts pulled up behind us. People would jump out and look in the direction of where we were pointing. Soon a few of them would wander over to me and my buddy and ask where's the wildlife. We'd respond, we didn't see any wildlife, we just stopped to admire the natural beauty of the park. And with that they'd shake their heads in frustration, hop back into their vehicles and leave, not understanding there's more to Yellowstone than taking pictures of wild animals.
  11. I wonder if he'll be deemed unfit to fly by the airline. Good chance he could be denied boarding as I understand his reduced mobility and health issues are quite visible.
  12. In H.S. we took a tour of the B&S assembly plant in Milwaukee. It was an interesting tour. Saw first hand every step of the assembly process, including the QC done on a random selection of the completed engines. What struck home with me from that tour is seeing the men and women on the assembly line, doing the same task over and over again until the end of their shift. Kudos to those that can do that, and it's an honest days work for a living, but it's not a job I could ever do.
  13. Could be the browser or browser setting you're using that prevents the viewing of the embedded video. Try clicking on the link below to see if that works. https://twitter.com/TheFigen_/status/1790869266226393550
  14. I've had a Skype number ever since I moved here. I'm now letting it expire, which will happen next week, as I've switched to using Google Voice. I've stopped using my Skype number as it no longer works for receiving OTP SMS messages, whereas GV does. Like you, I use my son's home address as my stateside address. On the rare occasion I get mail I need to see or respond to, he'll scan and email me a copy.
  15. I never looked at what the active ingredient in Soffel was. I bought the jug of citronella as I knew it was effective as a repellent, but less so than DEET. I spray my legs and ankles before I head out in the evening. Both products seem to be equally effective as when I eventually stumble home I don't have any bites from my evening out. And that's with the majority of the time spent in open air bars.
  16. Cool. I found a new musician to add to my playlist.
  17. The Good Wife, Season 3 Episode 9 led me to this song...
  18. Still a ways to go to catch up with Japan. https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/mylyyb/711s_by_country/#lightbox
  19. Just got my bill for the month. Not too bad. Up 800B from the previous month.
  20. Have you stopped in at Hot Zone. Another place owned by a long time hasher. You'll probably get a kick out of his hash name. Humongously Infected Vagina, or HIV for short.
  21. I forget what year it was, but it was during Songkran his LT TGF was doing the throwing water thing in front of the bar on 3rd Rd when she was hit by passing traffic. Put her in a coma which I don't believe she ever came out of. Shortly after that he closed the 3rd Rd location and tried again at a different location on the darkside, which I just found searching my memory cells and with Street View's help. He then went on to try his luck in Subic Bay, opening Cowgirls. I believe it was still a going concern when he was killed in the motorcycle accident, that some speculate might not have been an accident.
  22. Has to be a different owner group as the guy, a German, that opened Titty Twister on the darkside died seven years ago in a motorcycle accident in the Philippines. For a brief period of time he had Titty Twister 2 on 3rd Rd, but the business in that location struggled. Link to the new Titty Twister FB page https://www.facebook.com/TTPattaya/
  23. Money saving tip #69. My favorite mosquito repellent has been Soffell in the small 80ml bottles. I was buying 12 at a time on Lazada for 756B (link). Last month I decided to save some money and buy 3L of Citronella (link) and refill the Soffell bottles. Seems to be working just fine as a repellent and a heck of a lot cheaper.
  24. We have to accept the fact we're living in a tourist oriented town and the city planners and businesses will do what it takes to bring more tourists into Pattaya. Whether the infrastructure can handle it or not. I do miss the old days when there was a low season that had way less traffic on the roads compared to what we now have to endure, week after week.
