COVID 19 Related to THAILAND Posts

Because the subject matter is something we have to be very careful posting and speaking publicly about, I won't provide links. But a simple Google Search will lead those that wish to a well connected source that offers a different medical view, and not the result of a Covid vaccine jab. -

Hope the rain arrives as predicted tomorrow to clean that crap out of the air. -

I have a Sharp model. A great investment for anyone living here as it's cheap insurance to protect your lungs. I just closed up my home office and turned on my air purifier. Five minutes later my PM2.5 detector is showing a drop from 134 to 82. Expect in the next 15 minutes it will stabilize at around 15.

Had to cut my morning bike ride short because of the poor air quality. I don't smoke, but I think I would have been healthier staying home and smoking a pack of cigarettes than inhaling the air outside.

Post a random pic you took in Thailand

Looks like a walking catfish. Lucky it didn't chase you. -
I recommend Nam's Taxi. All lady drivers that are, IMHO, better drivers than a lot of men I've seen behind the wheel. A Camry or equivalent is 1,200. https://www.namstaxiladydrivers.com/

Street Photographs From Pattaya Area

I wandered around up there a few times until they pulled the makeshift stair for good a few years ago. Pic below is from Dec 2019. The top of the breakwater was, and is in a good shape. The holes they tried repairing were along the waterline and didn't effect the structural integrity. Perhaps they closed off the top to walkers and fishermen because they didn't have safety ladders in place for those that might fall into the water. -

I remember a few years in the past where we've had a couple of good deluges in February. -

Shame they don't make the breakwater accessible to walkers. Wonder why they don't. -

Annie Wersching, ‘24’ actress, passes away at 45 ... Wersching regularly appeared in television dramas throughout the aughts and into the 2010s. In 2007, she played Amelia Joffe on the long-running ABC soap “General Hospital.” Her breakout role came in 2008 when she portrayed FBI agent Renee Walker on the hit Fox show “24,” starring alongside Kiefer Sutherland throughout the seventh and eighth seasons. Some of Wersching’s other notable TV credits include her role as the love interest of Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) on Amazon Prime’s 2014 series “Bosch” and a recurring role as the villainous vampire Lily Salvatore on the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries.” Portraying the Borg Queen in “Star Trek Picard” in 2022, Wersching frequently shared photos of herself from set in full costume accompanied by messages of gratitude for the makeup and prosthetics artists that transformed her into the intergalactic villain. Wersching’s role in “Star Trek Picard,” which airs on Paramount+, is listed as one of the actress’s last professional credits on IMDb. Wersching’s husband concluded his statement with a touching memory on Sunday. “As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family…’” -

Assuming you're talking about calcium deposits causing the hard water line, wouldn't muriatic acid dissolve the deposits? You would of course have to drain the pool and thoroughly rinse the pool out before use again, but still easier and cheaper than replacing tiles.

I'm of the same mindset, especially when the concrete looks as dodgy as the one that broke. Continuing with the amazing topic theme, it's just amazing the two helpers are squatting on the concrete next to the one that crumbled under one person's weight.

Hard to believe there's no completion clause in the contract, but then TIT. One thing I thought when the digger shorted the lines and caused the fire is the contractor is probably in deep shit having to pay for the damage. Can't imagine they had insurance as that would be a sure way for an insurance company to go out of business, selling insurance policies to Thai contractors. If that's the case, that might explain why no further work is being done on Soi 15 as the contractor probably went bankrupt.
