  1. Could start a new topic titled "Swollen Member Pictures".
  2. Could be a reaction to food poisoning. Food poisoning doesn't always cause the squirts and/or vomiting. About two weeks ago my lady brought home a kabob from one of the stands on Buakhao. A few hours after eating the kabob I noticed my entire body started breaking out in red spots (hives). Took a couple of days for the hives to clear. Don't know if the meat was a spoiled or maybe it had been sourced from a place that preserved the meat in formalin. Officials seize 25 tonnes of illegal meat from Chon Buri factory The Livestock Development Department uncovered the illegal stash in over 50 containers stashed in a makeshift production facility. The containers were housed in cooler tanks and refrigerated containers. The meat was stored soaked in formalin, a watered-down type of formaldehyde used for preservation that can cause chemical burns and throat swelling. Each of the containers had 25 litres of formalin that the animal products were packed in.
  3. New bar on the north end of Buakhao. Not the best choice for a bar name though, IMHO.
  4. AQI is 95 in my home office. Time to close the windows and door and turn on my air filter. Shame as during the cooler months it's nice not having to live in an A/C cooled room.
  5. Reading this article I learned a new word, "sumata". Jealous Thai wife accepts job at brothel after tracking cheating husband to the den of iniquity ... “At what appeared to be the shop’s office, I asked the manager what went on in there and he told me it did not appear to be intercourse. Not quite anyway. So, I felt reassured.” The dismayed wife was then shocked by the brothel manager’s next question. He asked… “Would you like to try and work here yourself?” She was initially shocked by the offer but then curiosity got the better of her and she agreed. “When I got it on with my first customer, it was so much more sensual than the kind of sex we have at home. I was really turned on. As I was told by the boss, I only had to do ‘sumata,’ which doesn’t involve full sex but almost and everything else. “I loved it and since then I’ve been working secretly at the same shop. But I worry a little that one of these days I’ll run into my hubby there by accident.” What would the chances be?
  6. Several weeks ago they moved the forum to a different server. That banner message then started displaying and has been with us ever since. No doubt the rebuilding of the database indexes has long since finished, but a techie probably forgot to turn off the banner message.
  7. BM @ChiFlyer asked me to post he's not been able to get past the checking connection is secure message. Apparently it stalls at that point with the result he can't see posts, nor post on here. He tried connecting through a VPN, but that didn't work either. This has been an ongoing problem since the middle of last week.
  8. I realize this is an animation, and was going to question why they used tracer rounds on an automatic detect and destroy system. Then found a YT video of the real deal and see they used tracer rounds IRL. Perhaps it was only done for marketing purposes and the ones deployed don't reveal their position by the use of tracers?
  9. 2 seasons. I'm 2 episodes away from finishing season 1. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384766
  10. Be interesting to see how these stand the test of time. If only foot traffic they would probably hold up well, but with motorbikes and the occasional truck on the footpath, I expect they'll soon start cracking from the weight.
  11. Not Netflix, but HBO. Really enjoying this series. Don't know how I missed seeing or hearing about the series when it first came out in 2005.
  12. My lady's merit making table for the Chinese New Year. Asked her to put in a good word for me too.
  13. I'm giving Blue Iris v5 a try. A couple of my D-Link 5020L cameras had no problem with setting up the connection on BI, but the 5000L and 6045L no joy. I'm also having problems getting the connection to work for the new TP-Link C210 in BI. That one surprises me as it's ONVIF compliant and figured that would be the easiest one to set up and connect to. No problems with getting any of the above to work in iSpy, but BI is giving me fits. Online help hasn't been much help. Wondering now if some camera models are not supported by BI. Have you run across camera models that are not compatible with the security apps you've used?
  14. It was brought to my attention a new High Rollers Cosy Beach GC has opened. It's in the location previously occupied by The Huntsman (Pratumnak). Their grand opening party is this Saturday. List of Pattaya gentlemen clubs and misc BJ/ST places currently included on the above map. There is also a separate tab that has a history of the updates to the map. If you know of new/renamed or closed bars, let me know so I can update the maps. If you can provide the GPS location and a pic, even better.
  15. Wish I had the foresight to take a pic when it was still the Black Pearl. Some fond memories of times spent in there.
  16. Found this guy's take on Gordon Ramsay's Thai cooking skills quite funny.
  17. Could have been your rock star hairdo. 🎸
  18. I see one negative with iSpy. Even though I have only five camera feeds, if I up the framerate to more than 10 FPS I get a max. CPU usage every few seconds. Chrome has too much overhead to support the iSpy app so will have to look for a dedicated app that runs on Windows.
  19. When I've made the exchange for friends I just ask Mr. Google what to give them. Think Google search uses the mid-market (interbank) rate, so fair all around.
  20. Thanks for the link. One I had found before. Thought it might be a firewall issue, but since I could view the live stream from VLC ruled that out. And, drum roll, ta da, figured out just now what was wrong... As I was writing this post it occurred to me it could be an extension in Chrome that was the source of the problem. So tried Edge as a quick test and was surprised to see my ugly mug staring back at me. Had a look in Chrome's extension manager and there was one in particular I had forgotten I installed a long time ago that stood out, "Disable HTML5 Autoplay". Turned that extension off, refreshed the iSpy tab, and voilà Chrome now displays the live stream. Quite the satisfying feeling when a particularly difficult computer issue is resolved.
  21. Pulling out the few remaining strands of hair trying to get a new security camera to display what it's seeing in a security monitoring app.
  22. One of my old D-Link IP security cameras has bit the dust and I expect the others are nearing the end of their useful life. I bought the Tapo C210 camera to try out as a replacement, but can not get either the D-ViewCam app that I use for the D-Link cameras, or the iSpy open source security camera app to recognize the C210. I know the camera and its settings are fine as I was able to view what the camera is seeing using the VLC player and the RTSP protocol. When I plug the identical URL into iSpy I get nothing. I'm a rank novice when it comes to CCTV's and setting up these apps. With D-ViewCam it was somewhat plug 'n play since the app and cameras were from the same company. From what I read I could buy an NVR to handle the video feeds, but I already have enough computers in my small home office, I don't really want another one if I can avoid it. Thus my looking into a software solution that can run on my existing Windows laptops. Any suggestions, pointers and help would be most welcome. If it does happen the best and easiest solution is the NVR route, recommendations on brand and model would be also welcome. My current security system is five cameras, so the solution doesn't need to accommodate more than say eight channels.
  23. If you have friend(s) from the UK living here, ask them to buy the baht off you by transferring the equivalent GBP from their UK account to yours. I've done that on occasion for American friends as it saves me the transfer fee of moving money over. Win, win as they say.
  24. I'll grant he's providing useful info for those considering flying on Thai Air, but for fck's sake, if I'm sitting on a plane the last thing I want is some random guy recording me without permission. I wish he and other vloggers would have at least a modicum of common decency and courtesy not to record others.
