Free tourney for New Year’s had 2 steps, over half a million players got 22,000 spots in the final today, was not expecting much starting almost dead last. But I had a miracle run, for me anyway, and was an awesome learning experience. First place was about £35K, but I started with maybe 2% of where the leaders were so didn’t even dream of that. Anyway happy with my fast progress , bit more luck and I’ll have the key money for Secrets Chiang Mai soon…….Im looking for managers, doormen, accountants, PR, you name it……

Quiet New Year’s Eve for us, picked up some sushi from a spot a mile away, but that always seemed hidden for some reason…..turns out there are 6 restaurants in there, I had only ever used the gas station 20 meters away and never knew about all the other businesses…weird

Cousin auntie and his GF came over and combined with Mom’s cuisine we had a feast….Osso bocco with a beautiful pasta noodle(the shite wasn’t $.99 a box, let’s just say), bunch of sides and a dulce leche for dessert….Great to spend time with family, and my lesbian sister lives an hour away so she couldn’t make it….was REALLY a joyous occasion then 😂😂😂

Just opened my e-mail to a nice Xmas surprise…..Someone already bought my hockey tickets for February 10th game, thought I was going to lose $ on the 10 game package I bought, but I pocketed a 75% mark-up, AFTER all the fees. To go along with one game I could not sell last-minute and ended up going myself, and 5-6 others below cost, it should still even out People correctly wait until last-minute to get the best deals, so you can imagine my surprise to get the price I did 7 weeks out Now if Montreal pulls a Leicester & has a deep playoff run, I have purchase rights and will make more than enough for a trip to Bangkok…..Pray for me 😂

Woke up early Xmas morning and didn’t want to commit to anything too long…..this man is TOO funny, I mean there is never a boring minute. Feels like the playoffs this weekend, must be because of XMAS…BTW the league does not give 2 shits about players’ family time, regular schedule on the Eve and 3 more games Xmas Day…I don’t know, hockey has 82 games a year but everything stopped 12/23 & resumes 12/27

Everybody’s time will come some day, that’s just reality. A reality I never thought about myself until I had my problems almost a year ago, to the day. It’s never easy though, whether a loved one dies at 39 or 99, any way you win spin it, it will never be a joyous event. I feel like this day and age, anything under 75 seems young, we eat more crap but life expectancy keeps rising. What I didn’t like about the final 16 days I spent at Dad’s side when he was admitted with his cancer, was the uncertainty. My positive side thought he might have 3-6 months & might even make it back home if the care system allowed it. I even got special permission to buy a month parking pass for $90, instead of daily/weekly….he passed less than 3 days later. The doctors would never explicitly say “this is the end, he has a week or less”….but there were clues I guess. 4-5 days before, they stated they wouldn’t bother anymore with all his vitals like BP. He was lucid enough to be giving me shit before I left at 7pm on a Saturday, his stupid new wife could do no wrong in his eyes and I found out she wasn’t getting my group update SMS because she had no data plan & always relied on WIFI. One last f—k you I guess for something that was not my fault…The next morning he was in palliative as planned, but his eyes would not open although he could hear us….Then we got the call at 2 am….30 hours from him being pissed off and mean….to being gone, it was fast It really sounds like she is at the end Allan, and although you were expecting it, I guess you thought maybe more like Easter 2024 or something. It’s brutal, I know, I hope she’s not suffering…..But hey, I know first-hand how shitty my own sister & nephew were, took them 3 hours to come on his final day on Earth, living a 15 minute walk up the hill, but I had flown in 5 hours away. Pat yourself on the back mate, sounds like you’ve been by her side non-stop as much as you could, just know that she appreciates that affection more than you could ever imagine mate I don’t know what else to say Allan, it’s a nasty thing to deal with no matter how long you’ve been expecting it.
