  1. Indiscriminately bombing, shelling and murdering 30,000+ Palastinian civilians will likely kill a few terrorists and hostages as collateral damage. Any support will, i am sure, be welcomed. Eradication will not be achieved. Alternatively carrying out a hunt and kill operation by capturing, torturing and bribing known terrorist leaders, sympathisers and informants would increase the number of terrorists killed and captured (to be quickly killed with no mercy as no mercy is due). No doubt Israel has killed many hostages and allowed the majority of terrorists to escape in the fog of war. The Israeli government "war" is not a planned military response it is a polirical manouevre.
  2. Ian Nice Is this the one? Just added to my work out sounds
  3. Have you got a fygiam photo with your fluffy hairdo and .......
  4. Of course UK will never become a muslim state. But whether Islam becomes the largest religion in the UK by numbers depends on whether the huge drop in British followers of Christianity of all types continues - i expect it will. Hinduism and Buddhism trail behind and no chance of them dominating.
  5. I was going to reply that I'm not that bothered by the heat. But decided i'd better check that i can't be accused of not comparing apples vs apples. From google: Singapore is in or near the tropical moist forest biome whereas Bangkok is in or near the tropical dry forest biome. The annual average temperature in Singapore is 1.1 °C (2°F) cooler. Average monthly temperatures vary by 2.3 °C (4.1°F) less in Singapore. Whether those 2 figures can mathematically both be correct i'm not sure. But safe to say i have a cooler climate here. It's great.
  6. I've just spent a considerable amount of time puzzling over your cryptic comment. Apart from several cigar box images i've also discovered that British American Tobacco bought out Tyrrell Racing. Finally i've concluded that yes. The flag man is smoking a cigar.
  7. I've been watching a BBC Sounds sporting history video about the 6 wheel Elf-Tyrrell I hadn't realised the 6 wheeler with Jody Scheckter driving had won the 1976 Swedish Grand Prix. My close up experience of the car was my 6 wheel scalextric Tyrrell of around the same time which had less success and used to wear out braids at an alarming rate.
  8. Used to be Barclays and South Africa many years ago. Mind you Israel has been considered a well respected, responsible democratic state.
  9. The news report says the fire was on the 11th floor, that's roughly 55m up. Is that a challenge for the arial ladders on the Pattaya fire trucks? Or are different methods used? What about 30 storey buildings?
  10. Flight technology has advanced a huge amount in 60 years. It seems precision is probably more critical and less margin for error is built in now. I read: Rapid progress is needed for Starship, which is on the critical path for NASA's Artemis 3 mission. Artemis 3 aims to land the first humans on the moon since the end of the Apollo era in the early 1970s. Artemis 3 is currently scheduled for 2026, giving Starship less than two years to meet NASA vehicle qualifications for landing astronauts on the lunar surface.
  11. Haha it's perfect. I wanted to capture the audio from google translate and post here - but too complicated. A few 1000s as a back up plan won't go amiss
  12. Spikes are the way. I usually give birds a chance by sticking them in plain view as impossible places to sit. Disguising them as poppys for unsuspecting birds to land and pierce thenselves on doesn't break any rules. But.......
  13. I like spikes Nice hands, your life line is very long.
  14. Yes but what i mean is many of the ethnic Indians that have been in Pattaya for a long time are Thai (Thai passport, speak Thai, are Thai). But although starting a business for them is easy i expect these new businesses are foreign owned.
  15. I thought there were eyes everywhere, but i suppose oceans are an obvious exception. You would think that protecting against the heat of reentry would be complex but known engineering. It's just friction isn't it, and the forces are huge generating the heat.
  16. Now i'm getting on a bit my first stop is usually Queen Vic for a pork pie to ease my nerves. Then spider girls. Have a good time.
  17. To me Thai-Indians seem to be in their highest proportion in Pattaya. I wonder how many of these new nightlife Indian businesses are owned by Indian ethnicity Thais and how many are new to Thailand. My guess is this is new money from India coming in. Fforest i think you will know.
  18. I'm not sure i want to be thinking about your mom throwing her underwear onto the stage.
  19. Burned up on reentry? Can't they see
  20. That looks great, shouldn't be any wobbliness after that
  21. This looks good but don't think it will work as stated. You need "runny peanut butter" to drizzle onto the apples, i never see runny - just crunchy or smooth. But i guess the way would be just to scoop up crunchy peanutbutter with the apple slices.
  22. I was reading that and expecting a conclusion that would prove something that i have been trying to promote for a while. Unfortunately no. But that won't stop me. My (even better) conclusion is that green apples eaten with dates is a remarkable taste combination.
  23. Interesting conundrum. Surprising (in some ways) that there isn't a wanking thread. I have a wanking story. Many years ago as a young engineer on a north african project i was confident in my position as i'd been in the region for 4 years. One of the older expats on his first overseas postings confided in me "there's something wrong with me, i'm wanking every night - just can't stop". I advised "don't worry, we're all the same. This desert and no women can drive you mad. I just survive waiting for my trips to BKK". He replied "No, No you don't understand. I'm wanking while fantasising about my wife". That's the thing about these postings, they will drive you mad in the end.
