Don't know about where your friend lives in Korat, but my GF lives in the Sida and Bua Yai area up north in Korat. The Thais in that area are heeding to the requests from govt officials. The temples are all closed for public gatherings. Local Songkran festivities are cancelled. People are not leaving home unless necessary. Now this is for the most part. But saying, "absolutely no notice" for all of Korat is not true.

No confirmed cases in Patts as of 5 days ago, but I would "guess" there are some who have gone undetected. Thailand now has 600 or so confirmed cases nationwide as of today. Thailand Virus Cases Rocket Nearly 600

These percentages are overall and not broken down by age. Even so, this virus is not a death sentence fellas. However, if these fucktards continue to ignore the precautions put into place, it is not helping matters.

I will be working from home probably for months. I limit my looking at any news. My plans involve taking a daily stroll on a wooded trail 2 minutes from my condo, binge watching some series with a few movies thrown in, reading and breaking out my free weights and exercise bike. I am one of the lucky ones as my income doesn't stop. I am not going to sit around and mope. As grim as this situation is, I refuse to surrender and throw in the towel on the things I enjoy. I live in a very rural area so social distancing is no problem. My parents were kids during WW2 and they said if they can survive that, then this too they will overcome. I will not let this shit storm beat me. But then again, I am one of the lucky ones.

It's looking damn good and up to 32.50 😟now. Guess I'll just watch it go up while I am 1000's of miles away.
