  17. Thanks for that Jambo. Interesting story on how they became famous. There was a Radio 1 DJ by the name of Andy Peebles who had the 8-10AM slot. One day he told a story of coming down to get the milk of the front step for breakfast. On there, as on most days, there was a few cassette tapes from wannabees. One of them containing this song which he played in the car on the way to work. Anyway after he told the story he played the track and in an unpresented move he told the story again towards the end of his show and also played the track again. Anyway the record shops started getting calls to buy it. By lunch time they could have sold a million copies. Dire Straits were not even signed up to any label. They were soon snapped up. Anyway that's how I remember it, it was a long time ago, and yes I did listen to the show.
  18. A friend of mine back in Wales, 45 years ago, had a D type sitting on blocks in his shed. He was going to do it up for his retirement.
  19. Was into taping personally. Had a reel to reel at eight years old, then a cassette player when they first came out. Just a little mono Hitachi first but got a better stereo Sony later. Got over 300 albums on cassette.
  20. Had a few Falcon Wagons, this is the current one. 2007 BF.
