  1. Huntsman pub does a Sunday roast buffet at 950 baht which is a bit steep for me especially because I can fill myself up with Guinness pie and chips for 350 baht. Just economics to me in terms of my ability in how much I can eat and value for money. Nice place though, not busy which I was surprised about.
  2. In Huntsman pub having pie and chips and pint of Guinness Needed to get out of heat after carrying wee one for a while Also looking for the place where Porn needs to take an English test for a spouse visa.
  3. Which airport. Were you in Bangkok last night? Would have met but presume you in Pattaya
  4. Having food and drink in the beer garden in front of the Novotel Ploen Chit. Nice Filappina group knocking out a few songs. After a 13 hour flight via Dubai on Emirates amazingly I am having my first alcoholic drink since leaving London.
  5. Just booked my mini cab to the airport, starting to feel like I am actually going away......
  6. I think I have 2 days spare next week maybe on Tuesday and Wednesday. As long as I have no issue with the Embassy I should be down solo or with the wee one. I will message you if in town.
  7. 7 hours.....I am also trying to get into the spirit but I am kind of traumatised after 5 months of work without much of a break, think the excitement of it all will kick in later especially as I will be seeing my 2 favourite girls in Bangkok.
  8. The small print says I don't get any extra mileage for the upgrade, in fact the only thing you get is the upgrade; no lounge, no limousine, no extra mileage.......not even sure I would have paid if they had offered me the Heathrow through Dubai to Bangkok legs.
  9. Any Soave or Frascati from any where including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury or any other supermarket. The only decent stuff I have is when I fly business, usually a red, but it still tastes mostly the same to me.
  10. Just got an email from Emirates inviting me to pay for an upgrade on the Dubai Bangkok leg of my journey on Friday for the princely sum of £351. The rest of the trip including the Heathrow Dubai leg would still be in economy and I can't use the lounge in Dubai. Very quick thought about it, I will give it a miss, really don't think that is a good deal at all. I expect to get great service in economy and having not had a break from work in almost 5 months I will probably nod off on a postage stamp anyway so bring cattle class on. A few beers, a few wines and I will be ready to sleep. I can think of so many things I could do with that £351 that would offer me and my family much better value.
  11. I was the Tongue on Pattaya Live, you would probably recognise me from a pic, I am the one who looks like gorgeous George (Clooney not Boy George). Met you a couple of times I am sure at Rockhouse, you were a good poster on PL.
  12. Hope all ok mate, always thinking about you and what you are going through. You got a great woman beside you mate.
  13. Just had marinated anchovies and salmon flakes n a pesto sauce on farfalle pasta, absolutely disgusting, went in the bin. The marinade was way too sweet....
  14. WTTB, long time since I have seen you on any forums I have been a member of..........
  15. Might watch this one, should be an interesting game.........
  16. My daughter has started calling me papa instead of daddy, should I be worried lol
  17. Really happy about that, I have tried the Italian next door and it is not as good. Quite a few bars in Soi 88 and some great Thai eating places. Hope you have tried the Food Court just across the railway crossing on Soi 88, absolutely brilliant options for food, all cheap, great prices on beer and weekends they have bands down from Bangkok. I used to eat there often. Also some great restaurants on Soi 94 on both sides of the railway. A lot of people swear by the Indian on the eastern side of the railway track on 94, I have eaten there but I am not an Indian food lover but it tasted ok although bloated me up big time with the portions.
  18. Mate I have loads of the Yorkshire Dales, a wonderful part of the world and probably my favourite spot in the UK........... the beer is bloody lovely as well.
  19. Well I did go out and buy something but I needed it anyway. Holland and Barrett were selling their Precision Whey Protein for £13.99 against their normal cost of £29.99. In fact in their penny sale (buy one full price buy another for a penny) the price still worked out at almost £15 so I was quite happy to buy one yesterday. For info having lost 2.25 stone in 4 months (through working hard in my job) I found that not only was I losing weight but also muscle. After having a good look through Google and a subsequent visit to H and B I was advised to try a building muscle/performance Whey protein. OK the price is steep but too be honest my ability to maintain myt duties throughout the day and a feeling of my body not looking so scrawny I am happy to have found and paid for the product. That and the Apple Cider Vinegar seemed to have perked me up. The only other things I have bought in the sale were toys for my wee one at the Entertainer chain, some good deals, better than 50 percent on offer. Priceless really when kids are concerned.
