Happy New Year all! Roast pork tenderloins. One with a traditional herb rub and bacon wrap, the other with a southwest US dry rub.

Helluva show. The city might be losing ground to the amateurs, though, because they went all in at midnight. 360 degree fireworks. Useless information: Americans write dates as mm/dd/yy. Yesterday was 123123.

Watching the amateur fireworks going off through the glass door to the balcony in our bedroom. The professional show will start later down by the beach, and we'll have to invade the kid's bedrooms to see that from their windows.

I used to mostly visit during the day, maybe early evening, every visit to Thailand. Those were the Larry years, and I enjoyed meeting several Secret's forum BMs on the Sunday get togethers. We even brought our (~2yo) daughter in for lunch now and again. I also saw Ben's personality decay, but I didn't know the reason. From the way he fidgeted the last time I met him I thought it might be yahbah.

Chorizo to start. Daughter's bacon mac & cheese. Milady's carbonara. Pepperoni mushroom pizza we all shared. They finished with a lava cake and ice cream, and me with a third glass of house red. No photo taken.

Cancer took my mother 12 years ago, her last couple were very sad to witness. I was happy she was able to meet our first born before she went.

Christmas eve spread. Merry Christmas all!

I ordered some bread and other things for the holidays from London Biegel. I also decided to try their Rueben sandwich which they send in kit form. Assembled and toasted in the frying pan. Quite good.

The Wine Connection shut down in Rayong back before covid. They've reopened a couple weeks ago. Roast beef bruschetta to start. Tuscan scallop fettucine for her. A beef lasagna (in too much sauce, but tasty) for me.

I'm surprised no-one has called out Perun. He's apparently an Australian defense economics analyst who does an ~hour long power point (I know) on major international issues every Sunday night (Thai time). Despite the format, he's quite interesting and perceptive. When Sunday rolls around, I look forward to seeing his next one show up. This week's is on the current insanity in northern south America.
