Just back from our afternoon walk. From home, down onto the Portway under Clifton Suspension Bridge then back up The Zig Zags which is a tortuous steep trail the home. Only 4km but a decent work out for 40mins

Went out yesterday with a mate as pubs reopened again in UK so first alcoholic drink for 14 weeks and was nervous. I didn’t struggle though, did a 3pm to 8pm shift and think I hit the 10 pint mark. Bit groggy first thing but still up at 0700 and out for a bike ride so cleared the head. i’m not sure if pubs will have the same attraction to me having been off it for such a while and not missed it but it’s early days so we’ll see. I think I’ll have another go next Friday after work.

Similar story here. Restricted by school holidays so thought December 2020, but shelved that idea then thought Easter 2021 but fancy Cyprus then for a few weeks to make up for our cancelled holiday this year there so come a full year and looking at next July now for Thailand. god knows who’ll be flying then what the prices will be, and the travel / airline world will be like in general by then

I think I had the term stuck in my head from the 1980/90’s when C4 in the UK used to air The Gary Shandling Show when before the break he’d say “ no flipping”. I stand corrected on an incorrect assumption

Mostly very good. Lost 13.5kgs in 9 weeks, exercise daily. 30 min walk first thing plus sit ups , press ups and weights. Afternoon do a 40/45 min cycle. plus a whole lot more active in general. no booze for 9 weeks as only drink when out eating healthily j just need to keep this going edit : mental health is ok but at times a struggle being at home full time - been working more recently so that helps

That would be good and perhaps Autumn time if things move in the right direction 👍

Donations welcome UPDATED WITH NEW APPEAL VID
AJSP replied to tommy dee's topic in The Latest News from Thailand
Good to hear the appeal continues to help those in need. If it’s Chris Jagger you mention above, then he lives close to my folks near Glastonbury. Plays the odd Gig in a few local pubs. Seems to be an ok bloke, and my mate serviced his Land Rover. It’s great the stones have helped as well as Suzi Q -
Yes, this has annoyed me for sometime. I find it irritating

Roast pork a day late... roast pots, stuffing, carrot n swede mash, carrots, runner beans, broccoli, and a random sausage as I had 4 left over in the fridge all topped off with bisto gravy inc the meat juices and water from the veggies. never presents well but tastes great

Just about to paint railings and gate. Bought some Hammerite and paint brushes / roller yesterday from Toolstation. Prepared the areas by rubbing down with wire wool and cleaning and now ready to paint. life rarely gets better than this nowadays 👍

Never tried the Beer Garden, not sure why so must make an effort next time I’m in town.
