  1. ok but going back to the crux of your post reference where are the Girls coming from. What do you need on average for Go Go bars probably at least 25 and likely much higher. As you say where will 1000 girls plus come from and not the heiffers that occupy 80% of Go Gos compared to decades past
  2. Personally I think this is an upfront money scam and all will disappear into the night.
  3. I clearly identified fella that it was lifted from Stickmans column of Sunday 22nd
  4. Dont shoot the Messenger but this is Stickmans take on it from todays Column. "New Pattaya bar area not realistic. With regards to the proposed new Indian-run bar area on Pattaya’s Second Road in what is now The Avenue, as has been mentioned before, expansion of the industry is only going to dilute the product. It would need a wholesale shift from one area to the other. Even if this project proceeds as planned, it’ll take at least a couple of years to eventuate. I was there last month and The Avenue was still operating as a shopping mall. They’d have to wait for all the existing leases to expire (some big businesses there that won’t be stuffed around e.g. McDonald’s, Starbucks, Villa), then knock it down, and build the new venue. It’d be a person of rare foresight and trust who’d be willing to commit now to having a bar there."
  5. I think TW have corrected that anomaly whereby the rate for less than £800 (think someone sent £700 here) was more than £1000 Just playing around with website this morning and seems to have been corrected
  6. Lifted from FB today.....self explanatory. I thought they had closed for good. That is very quiet Soi they have moved to for sure
  7. If anyone thinks bookings are increasing in Pattaya think again. Despite the Indians which I know to an extent use Eastiny Place I like the location in Soi 8 Have literally just booked 6 nights (we're going Angeles after) Deluxe Room (highest of the 3 available) at 628 Baht a night off their own website. They were already offering 3 nights for 2 but now added another 10% off Christ I was paying that in shitholes 15-20 years ago lol
  8. Agree entirely somethings way out of kilter with this yarn. Reminds of about a year ago remember that wind up over some Scottish joint supposedly opening opposite Retox in Soi Lenkee with massive breakfasts for ludicrous prices. This sounds more like the "Baku" group raising awareness of existing outlets. How the hell are you going to get a return when "39" Go Go bars are in competition in one relatively small location
  9. Using that pound cost averaging that I always advocate via Transferwise my 4 transfers netted a rate of 40.27. Taking off the fees element the real rate ended up at 40.03 so half decent compared to the 36/37's we saw couple months ago
  10. Hopefully some filled their boots with that TT error on Sterling.... Interbank was 12 satang lower than TT screen price at that point TT from guy on the ground today is 39.14 as of few minutes ago
  11. In danger here of slipping back into the 38's.....Sterling/Dollar continuing to drop forcing the issue Internank now only 39.31 live
  12. I would hope in 2020 the Thais will put downward pressure on the Baht (somehow) against the Greenback hopefully out to at least 32. That would push Sterling to over 42 again without Sterling/Dollar even moving from current levels Heres hoping lol
  13. That Lisa on the Beach place ranks as the worst place I've ever been inside in Pattaya. Its like a souless cavern sort of like inside a shipping container it was just awful. We had 1 drink each (fairly priced) and off we went
  14. Tell where the hell do these ludicrous phrases come from like putting "not" on the end of sentences lol Same with fruitcakes who write "my bad" or "enjoy"
  15. Boris made it clear and is enshrining in law no extension to transition period end of 2020. Frankly we'll leave no deal and Sterling has dropped sharply. Just had quick look prior to post interbank is 39.64 so am guessing yellow TTs are 39.48 give or take
  16. £10,000 via Transferwise including fees would land at 401,955 Baht real time £10,000 via Kasiskon excluding fees would land at 398,500 real time If we take off say 500 Baht landing fee for Kasikorn but say its a free transfer than it drops to 398,000 dead Just shy of a £100 better with TW
  17. Just how the hell didnt Lewis Hamilton win. The greatest Sportsman this country has ever seen with 6 wins in F1. When he overtakes Shumy will he win it then. Ben Stokes absolute joke
  18. Just had a look at Live Telegraphic Transfer rates for Kasikorn and 39.85 which is some 36 Satang lower than Yellow TT exchanges at time of post and 58 Satang lower than Interbank rates 40.43 (Transferwise) No way will bottom line on TW be lower than Kasikorn you even have a landing fee with Kasikorn to boot

Yes I've had that twice in last few years. Dont think its of any significance just that whilst under Xray something may appear to be a security risk as mistaken for something else. Even Books that may accidentally have something tucked inside raises a red flag on Xray as not showing usual characteristics
  20. Grand Tour Season 4 the Cambodia Special is now on that Putlockers site....watched it last night not bad
  21. I worked for Equity and Law for 4 years (Axa now) and never saw a claim denied except for the most blatant cases. Insurance companies do want to pay a claim contary to what some believe for the simple reason it garners bad publicity and they always expect to pay out with what actuaries predict year by year anyway I've had 2 claims within Thailand paid direct by Insurer. I have also claimed on policy within UK when I had a date change outbound on a flight. I hadnt followed protocol apparently because I rebooked the change date without telling them in advance (the insurers)....every reason to deny...No Paid out in full less excess with a gentle reminder on letter with cheque to let them know in future. My son had a car crash within 2 weeks of him passing test. Wasnt his fault at all insurers wrote the car off and paid out £1710 which was over £450 above book price (Axa again). Do not believe anyone who says insurers dont want to pay absolute crock of shit.

Very true but they still have to match the boarding pass swipe with the face. I thought some time ago that "maybe" a CCTV image was taken in the ME airports back to UK when purchases exceeds allowances but I can absolutely say they dont lol OP inbound to Bangkok arrivals you'll lose nothing if within allowances. I was "tugged" some way outside arrival area in 2016 when with my son (was On Qatar) clearly tags showing and he asked about fags...... I just smiled and said dont smoke at all and that was that. He didnt ask to look in bags at all. If he had I would have started asking for ID etc (I had nothing anyway never do outbound)
  23. Yeah I enjoyed it.....Bit slow at the start but warmed up nicely lol
