  1. So we get rid of the only decent lower order batsmen/bowler we got (Woakes) and bring in a spinner who went for 10 an over first match (Leach). And drop one out of form batsman (Pope) and bring in another out of form batsman (Crawley). That should do it!!. Please let them prove me wrong!. Shows how fucking awful our test squad is.
  2. Sky Sports currently showing a complete rerun of the Man City vs QPR game from the year City won their first Premier League title under Roberto Mancini on the final day of the season. We were wearing one of my favourite away kits, the red and white quarters. Wonder if we can stop Aguero scoring the last minute winner this time. 🤣
  3. Vegan Christmas Dinner for me. Pecan and butternut squash bake , roasties, mixed vegetables of peas, carrots, onions and garlic, with a vegetable gravy.
  4. Former Yorkshire and England captain Ray Illingworth has died aged 89. He was also England chairman of selectors in the 1990's. RIP
  5. f**k me, who would ever have thought those pictures are from Christmas time in Pattaya. Absolutely deserted streets and bars. So sad to see. Have only spent one Christmas in Pattaya and that was a month long trip around 2002 or 3. Every bar and hotel was full, streets were heaving with people. Amazing sight your pictures but for all the wrong reasons. Great pics John, thanks for posting them.
  6. Cracking bikes, but those engine bar's are fucking awful. Ditch them and fit R&G crash bungs, they look far more classy and weigh a fraction of the weight of those bar's.
  7. Back when I was young I had a great collection of old rock/metal LP's. Also Marvel /DC comics. Then added lots of rare white label rave /dance music 12".But not owning my own house and constantly moving, it becomes difficult to keep them. Had a lot of rare stuff, especially promotional records, rare picture discs, coloured vinyls etc. Love to have been able to keep them, breaks my heart thinking about what I had. But unfortunately life don't always turn out how you'd like it to.
  8. Wow, what an amazing collection mate. Love that old fruit machine, that's quality. Thanks for posting them.
  9. Lunch today was Quorn mince with mixed Peppers stir fry veg,in a Pad Thai sauce. Bought some potatoes for tomorrow's dinner so did some mash for a change instead of rice, not had it in ages. Could of done with a extra 5 minutes boiling as it was slightly lumpy.
  10. Tory's have always been about cutting public spending so they don't have to raise taxes, but how can you improve services without investing in them?. I for one would happily pay a bit more tax every payday if it actually got invested in the NHS, schools, the poorer members of our society, the elderly's care etc. Surely many other people would also.
  11. These are cracking little bikes. I even considered the naked version myself before buying my Z800. Fancied a bigger engine in the end as I was hoping to do a bit of touring in the UK last summer but constant restrictions made it harder to plan anything. Make a great cheap to run commuter/city bike.
  12. Just as tough on those who may have undiagnosed cancer and can't get a doctor to take a look at them. Can see a lot of people being scared into feeling like a burden on the NHS with the constant obsession with 'protect the NHS' mantra.
  13. Was reading earlier that Israel is already offering a second booster to over 60's and the UK government is considering it. 🤣
  14. Normally have a Christmas thread going by now so I better start one. 😀 Wishing all of you and your family a Merry Christmas, may you and your family keep safe and Covid free, and hope you all have a better one than last year's which was ruined for many by lockdowns. Allan.
  15. After the year Root has had it wouldn't surprise me if he hits a lean patch soon. It's happened to Kohli recently. Can't be expected to constantly carry the burden when others aren't playing well. Luckily for Kohli he has a superb quality batting line up, unlike us. Needs to drop the captaincy, and if he's interested, I'd get Morgan in to replace Pope at 5/6 and take over the captaincy. He's way better at it than anyone else we have at international level. Good field settings and uses his bowlers well.
  16. Yeah, was a great bar, used to go there early to mid 2000's.Was off the beaten track but not too far to get to.
  17. Does look good, especially the chips, nice and chunky how I like them.
  18. Considering our high infection rate, hospital admissions are well down on a year ago.
  19. Considering we have just hit 120,000 new case's yesterday in the UK, the rest of the world are amateurs compared to us. 😀
  20. Apparently the guy who shot Darrell was just a deranged fan, not someone with a personal beef with him. Think he shot himself afterwards or was shot dead by cop's, can't remember. Fucking Tragic waste of a very talented musician. RIP.
  21. Pantera ended when Dimebag Darrell was shot dead on stage while playing with his other band Damage Plan about 15 years ago or so. His brother, drummer Vinnie died about 3 or 4 years ago. Rex Brown was the bassist, and yes, he was a pretty killer bass man. Tragic end to a great band.
  22. As I said before, all a big overreaction....
