What are you doing right now..? (Threads Merged)
andycoll replied to Lanzalad's topic in General topics
As I live in Melbourne and we have been in fairly strict lockdown conditions for 9 weeks now it is very easy as there are lots of testing sights around. I just walked up to the local community health centre about 10 minutes away and said I wanted a Covid test. Waited while they dealt with the two people in front of me, answered their questions as they took my details then waited for the nurse. Took about two minutes for her to do her bit and that was it. The swab up each nostril was a bit unpleasant. Then home to isolate until the results came which took 32 hours. -

Just read a very welcome text from the Health Department informing me that my Covid Test was negative. Might have a celebratory drink with that weight off my mind. -
Reading this one now, One of my favorite Authors although I think he is channeling Dan Brown a bit here with all the religious talk.

I never knew the man but that sounds like a life well lived. -
Thanks for all the clarification fellas. I've been to Nam Tok, Hellfire Pass, and had this year been different I was going to visit Thanbyuzayat in Myanmar on November 11. Maybe next year.

Which one goes to the Myanmar border?

I live in Melbourne and as far as I am concerned they should have done this a week ago. They should increase the fines and draft police in from interstae to help. There are to many stupid and selfish people in this city who apparently are happy to stay in lockdown to Christmas as long as their not inconvenienced.

I have been balancing out the heavy reading with a bit of light reading from one of Galenkias authors. Scott Mariani. I have read the Mozart Conspiracy as well as the Star of Africa and have The Devils Kingdom ready to go. Unfortunately they are the only three my library has in ebooks.

As I have been forced back into lockdown due to the actions of idiots and selfish people I have reverted back to a bit of weighty iso reading.

Somebody should buy them a mirror.

andycoll replied to 247 NEWS's topic in The Latest News from Thailand
How much of that 1.16 Billion Baht is actually going to be spent on refurbishing the beach. And how much is going on new cars, houses, etc for the private contractor and associates is what I would like to know. -

Does anyone know what the pricing at the boxing stadium on Suk in Pattaya is. Some Thai ladies I know were saying it was free for Thais and 2000Baht for Farang. That seemed a little excessive, maybe they were confusing it with 200Baht. Either way I said if I was that interested in watching Thai boxing I could watch it on tv for free. -
It's like they can't help themselves.

I don't think the guy holding the bag wanted to be the guy holding the bag either.

Fascinating, not a job I will be applying for. I don't believe in the unnecessary killing of animals but in those cases I would have lopped the heads off and barbequed the rest.
