Looking forward to seeing the movie. I know a couple of girls from the village who live in Denmark, met their husbands and they seemed like good guys. Certainly one of the girls (who is on her 3rd farang husband) is only doing it for the money but the other has been married for longer than me so that's at least 12 years. They were back this time last year, had more than a few beers with them and they were great company as usual. Not that it's any of my business but I would say they have a good relationship. Some people can make it work, some can't, it's the same all over the world. Some can't get over a failed relationship, they end up bitter and twisted, just because they were rejected they are unable to accept others can be happy.

Same as. I know an awful lot more about the symbolism of the Thai version of Buddhism than I used to. Each temple has its own artistic interpretation of basically the same story and I genuinely find that interesting. Want to do the white temple somewhen but I am not keen on the crowds so I will be choosing the time carefully. I really don't think you have to be a believer in whatever religion to appreciate the places of worship. The general feeling of calm, serenity call it what you like, is undeniable in some places. Likewise if the architecture is appealing then I really don't care what version of the religion it represents. Apart from Muslim obviously.... 😋

Alex is a great host and of course as others have mentioned, he has been there for 13 years so he knows what he knows. Guys like him and Adam from the cherry bar have been on the frontline for longer than most.

My mate is a scouser he is very upset. In fact I don't think I have ever seen a scouser so upset over one leg since Paul McCartney was dating Heather Mills. 🙂

I have just been diagnosed as having a certain type of amnesia about bands from the 80s. There is no cure........

It is my favourite beer. The trick to enjoying it properly from a bottle is to pour it really fast, almost the exact opposite way you would normally. Takes a couple of goes and you have to wait till the head reduces but it is well worth it and nearly tastes like it came from a pump. One of life's pleasures 🙂

Get my knee sorted out. Have a digital detox from the forums, nothing personal I am just spending too much time doing nothing on the net. Get the family over to UK for a few months. Kick the cigs (again).

Waiting for the team to get their shit together so we can go and meet the family's newest member, just 3 hours old. Have to say I am really looking forward to it and may even be a tad broody 😧🤭
