  1. In front of the new laundry at the bottom of Soi Arunotai 9. I wonder if the development work shook it up a bit? Came down last night during the rain.
  2. Alternates between Da Nang and Siem Reap on different days of the week. Started June 2025.
  3. There is only one official site. https://thaievisa.go.th/
  4. I had cleared cache and cookies too trying to get the site back after johnpat said it was working again. That must have made a difference.
  5. That's a potential big issue with the Thailand income tax system - the TRD don't have to prove anything and the onus is on you to prove any case you submit. If they don't like it they issue a bill for the tax owed regardless.
  6. I hadn't even noticed the new URL as the old one just redirected me when I hit refresh. Same for the Klang/Arunotai/Yume junction.
  7. Raining now, although the skies look quite clear where I am so hopefully just a short shower.
  8. Must be very localised as I'm not far away! Roads already about dried off here now so wasn't much of it. Seems to be the nature of it recently as yesterday afternoon we spotted a lot of cars with rainwater on them on Beach Road but never saw a drop falling. I went for a look at the cameras here but nothing working. Can someone else try and let me know if it's just me? https://ioc.pattaya.go.th/live-cctv/RC-832 This one is still working and Soi Buakhao felt the rain too. https://www.webcamtaxi.com/en/thailand/chonburi-province/soi-buakhao-pattaya.html
  9. Coming down now.
  10. That's even better then. I calculated on 12 times your monthly remittance to get my figures so you must have more income you don't remit. Your P60 would show £12,000 tax paid and your Thai tax bill would amount to ~ £3,000 so nothing further to pay. That's certainly how I'm planning to do it if it ever becomes an issue, which I don't think it will. There's also a question of whether the money remitted is assessable, for example if pre 2024 savings then it doesn't come into the equation at all. I can also show enough of this to last me many years here if the offset argument doesn't work.
  11. I did all the sums when this first broke and if I put your figures into my fag packet calculator you will currently be paying ~ £4,000 GBP income tax per year. If all your remittances were to be taxed in Thailand, after various allowances you'd be paying the baht equivalent of ~ £3,000 GBP per year. As the DTA allows you to claim back tax paid elsewhere then you owe the Thai taxman nothing (although you can't claim back the "overspend"). As I say, this is all fag packet calculations so if anyone sees anything blatantly wrong I apologise, but let me know what it is and I'll see if I can make more sense of it.
  12. This document has been uploaded recently elsewhere with some "new" requirements, but as usual no-one knows where it originated and it doesn't seem to be every officer in every office who is using it.
  13. Not sure if I posted this pic from a couple of weeks ago. First time I'd seen a mobile pizza and wondered how it would turn out. Well it went past again last night just as I was about to head home so I thought I'd try it and was pleasantly surprised. I've noticed a restaurant of the same name on Buakhao so imagine they're linked.
  14. Seen a few mentions but nothing much good or bad. The lies shown by this screenshot of theirs about Wise rates and fees doesn't encourage me. Concurrently from Wise.
