I have flown EVA for the last 16 years, for flight schedules, length and service they are great. But becuase of the of the current tensions between Taiwan and China, I choose to fly Qatar for my early May trip, got a good price on Biz Class Qsuites! Quite a difference 19 hour total trip time verses 23 hours total trip time and 3 days later arrival in BKK. I think I'd rather dodge missiles in the middle east. Never thought I would say that! I will be there for the summer. But, great to hear good news from EVA. Service from US never lasped though, many Taiwanese on the West Coast.

Yes, El Burro ate/drank there many times. On hot summer evenings it was great to sit in the court yard drinking pitchers of Sangria. The Outlook used to be my go to pick up place on Friday and Saturday nights. Then there was The Parlor (Campbell) and Mountain Charlies in Los Gatos on Joe Sharino night during the week. I used to go to the Plankhouse on Saratoga and Stevens Creek when I wasn't at the Outlook.

I retired 4 years ago, it took a month to prep the house in California for sale and then another month to sell the house and get the house check. Sounds like the Bay Area/Southern California commute traffic. How about Donnor Lake up the road? I did see on the news that since the virus the San Francisco Bay area people are buying up all the property in Tahoe. Maybe it's time to leave the Cali Bureaucracy Stalog. I'm loving the Pacific Northwest and would never go back.

Was wondering what Swede was, turnip. I have always wondered what the obsessive fascination is with SomTom by Thai (mainly Isarn) woman. "The War Department" Ms Eden eats it almost everyday. Green Papayas are plentiful in the Northwest Pacific Coast. She uses whole Tilapia Fish internals not removed, rendered down to a stinky brown semi-liquid sludge on the stove for hours. I now make her cook her fish outside on the burner of the BBQ, because of the rancid smell. She spices it down with chili peppers to a barely tolerable heat level on the Thai heat scale. Then this Pattaya experience put everything in place (flashback). Took a couple of Peppermint Girls from the corner nude bar. I was doing the nasty to one of the girls, when all of sudden, explosive diarrhea shot out on my balls and legs; the stink too. All over the sheets. She blamed it on the SomTom she had eaten earlier. I truly believe they eat SomTom as a way to control their weight. Sort of a eating bulimic way of purging. Rendered whole fish guts, eyes and shit is sure fire way to get diarrhea. That's my theory.

How come all the houses/buildings are all painted red with white trim? Only at the final destination you see other colors.
