  1. Believe this is the Hass-Bleumenthal Mansion from the back. The city has many grand painted ladies would love to see more photos of them, especially from unconventional views. Thanks Laz!
  2. Great thread/posts as usual. Your Avatar always makes me thirsty.
  3. Thank you! And may all your exchanges be Happy Endings!
  4. Could not find a Superrich exchange in Pattaya. Is there any exchange that has consistently good rates in Pattaya like Superrich and Vasu in Bangkok?
  5. This schedule indicates to me Air Canada is doing this route on the cheap, utilizing one aircraft. If any serious equipment failures occur overseas, then replacement aircraft would have to come from Canada. Any flight disruptions would result in serious schedule disruptions.
  6. On Flyer Talk nothing but complaints about Air Canada. In my opinion of all the non-US based carriers Air Canada is next to British Air on the Flyer Talk top disgruntled postings. My recommendation would be to do your due diligence.
  7. I believe that the bird is a Magpie. The Magpies in central California have yellow beaks, most others are black.
  8. And usually, the price difference is only piss away money. Buy from the airline.
  9. Just noticed the old barrel in the drum kit, totally cool!
  10. Glad to see the old Paul Masson logo on the stone winery. Then there's the iconic Santa Clara Valley view which you provided. Oh, where have all the cherry orchards gone, gone long time ago. Great photos!
  11. The Sheraton is a good choice right in the middle of everything in District 1. Down the road a couple of blocks is a Mom & Pop Bar on the corner with a Bamboo facade. Run by a Vietnam US Vet (deceased) and Viet wife. Place if still open could be run by the daughter. The Bar is era time warp and a good place to have a quite drink. I believe saving Private Ryan is a fictional story. The act/policy? you reference is the Five Sullivan brothers all killed in the same WWII battle.
  12. Wow! If in the area I would have loved to go. Just imagine seeing the Warriors win the West and a poster show!
  13. The McCartney 1989/90 Tour was his first tour in 10 years and the first time since the breakup of the Beatles, that the song list was mainly from his Beatles past. Songs that hadn't been sung by a Beatles member in 16 years was the concert tour hype. Linda was in the Band, but I believe Wings was not present. He used studio musicians.
  14. Yessongs, great report/photos once again! I saw McCartney in April 1990 at Berkeley Coliseum, also a great concert. His catalogue of songs is just incredible. I'll never forget he finished the Concert with "The End". I can still hear the words: And in the End The love you take Is equal to the love you make
  15. Sam Kinison look alike, Sam got the last laugh.
  16. She's a runner looking at that beautiful muscle tone in her legs Yessongs.
  17. Yes, it won't hurt. It will show that you really want the job and if they do hire you, they will never regret it. Now it's all up to you to back the talk. Hopefully, they will have an open mind and reconsider. Wishing you the best!
  18. Bill Graham Poster # 70 (BG 070), first Print, Artist Greg Irons Fillmore Auditorium 6/27-7/2/67 Catalog No. BG-70 Chuck Berry and Eric Burdon & The Animals performed with the Steve Miller Blues Band for this 1967 show. The central image is the back of the head of a man wearing a tophat. A small staircase goes up the side of the hat and leads to a tiny gazebo, where a tiny woman is standing. A large poisonous snake is poised above her. This is the first poster for The Fillmore created by Greg Irons, whose untimely and accidental death in 1984 in Bangkok, Thailand was a great loss to the artistic community. The original poster was printed on white index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21¾″.
  19. Bill Graham Poster 19 The Beard first printing. Just purchased this Poster and this cost more than the Zig Zag Poster, last month. This is the most I ever paid for a poster, excellent quality and a first print. The early poster had low print runs. This poster advertises a play. Fillmore Auditorium 7/24/66 Catalog No. BG-19 The Beard, by Michael McClure, was a popular play that imagined a confrontation between Billy the Kid and Jean Harlow. This was the only production of the play held at The Fillmore, but it was held at many other venues in the area around the same time period. The production ended with explicit oral sex between the protagonists, and often resulted in cast member arrests, until the ACLU intervened. Because it was a one-time production, this poster was produced in very limited quantity. The original poster was printed on vellum and measures approximately 14″ x 20″. Original printings have a white reverse.
