  1. Unfortunately "the system" consists of issuing the visa, immigration on arrival and further visits to immigration in any sleepy town up North/down South if you wish to extend or change to a retirement/marriage/AO visa. For me a stamp in your passport is the only way.
  2. Yup. And they can be easily identified by the owner sitting in the "best " seat.
  3. I used to have an employment related skill whereby I had to wake up instantly and be fully aware of my surroundings. I grew used to having a low light on at all times and now I happily sleep with a light on as it keeps the nightmares to a minimum. After that, I have spent more than 30 years living in hotels all over the world and I definitely kept the bathroom light on all night to stop me pissing everywhere....Although in some hotels it would be difficult to tell if I had made it to the toilet or not !
  4. Thanks! I've just checked National Express and it is only a quick change at LHR T3 and I'm on my way "home".... With a much better choice and no need to waste a day in a hotel. Prices into Gatwick are normally cheaper than LHR aren't they..?
  5. E-Visa? The Hull Consulate used to do one .... It was called the Ee-BahGum-Visa ...... Sorry ...
  6. It also looks very similar to the chicken I used to buy for takeaway from Seaside on soi pothole !! Tasty!
  7. I find Isaan snake too tough to chew unlike Chinese snake. I think the Chinese spend longer marinating them to make them softer. The only thing I find unbearable to stomach are chewey "sea cucumbers" .. Anything else including dogs and other unidentifiable furry creatures get in my belly no problem.
  8. Yup! We get frozen ones already gutted and skinned sent down from Isaan. Very strong tasting larb but goes down well with my mates homemade sato.
  9. It will be worse trying to identify the "covid batch" when buying second hand in the future. A bit like identifying the "Austrian antifreeze batch" in German wines.
  10. Yup. To make the matt paint look "work" you'd need to remove the Bentley badges....Now THAT would be cool IMO.!
  11. It sneaked over 46.00 overnight or when I wasn't looking! EDIT = Transfer Wise has it at 46.07 with a green pointy-uppy arrow ..
  12. I think I get enough sleep but not too much sleep. I am always up at 4am. I sit outside about 5am with my coffee then decide my plan for today. I then take stuff out the freezer. Then just fucking do it! (Today I have to cut my hedge then go to 7/11 @11am). Lazy day really so won't take a nap until tonight. The best sleep is always directly after a long walk. The first thing I do is glug down a bottle of Siam Sato, then change out of my sweat sodden clothes before glugging down a second bottle of Siam Sato. Then I lay on my bed and doze off for an hour. I normally wake up with the cat licking my ankles...It saves having to take a shower, besides I live alone and can smell as bad as I bloody well want! I generally fall asleep around nine so I sleep between 7 or 8 hours in a 24 hour period. I never have nothing to do!
  13. I've just done a drunken transfer ....what could possibly go wrong ...??
  14. Indeed! Try "doing" one accent after a few beers, and you'll end up sounding like the other !
  15. Just been sitting with friends having my morning coffee whilst they were having their morning seesip degree. Weather looks good for a couple of hours so I'm gonna have a SSS then go for a walk before the forecast rain storms....
  16. If Sanchez doesn't play it becomes interesting too ...
  17. Unless Duffy gets a minus score ...If he doesn't play I just get one point .. I meant Duffy of course !!
  18. We all have Sanchez but I also have Duffy in the next game ...
  19. HT at the Emirates and the top three are equal first on 425 points!
  20. Especially if the Police report is "bought". I don't care if you face the most stringently honest judge in the land if the Police say that you were driving whilst drunk on the wrong side of the road then that IS what happened! Now I am based in Pattaya I never intend to drive a car or ride a Motorcye ever again!
  21. I guess that I am quite lucky in that I've never really wanted to do anything other than the jobs I have already had.
  22. No problems mate. I bumped into a Chang Noi in there a few years ago. That's all, nothing important!
  23. I hope that nobody was flying into Stockport International Airport ... That Fernandez penalty could've taken the pilot's eye out!!
  24. The 1275 mini was a fucking brilliant car at the time... Everybody took the piss out of the Capri!
